Balmy Blue and Black - A simple card that manages to look a bit over-the-top! Featuring the Birds & More Dies |
This is such a simple little card, dressed up with a lot of glitzy glamour courtesy of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper!
There's no stamping, it's just layers and a bit of die-cutting.
The base card is black followed by a layer of Balmy Blue. I used one of the Birds & More Dies to cut the leafy circle from the centre of the final black layer and popped a piece of the Glimmer Paper behind the cut out. The I added the bird. I cut the bird twice, once in black and once in white, then transferred some white pieces to the black bird. TIP: Putting some Adhesive Sheet on the back of the cardstock before die-cutting makes it really quick and easy to stick the little pieces in place.
Then I cut some foliage from the Glimmer Paper and adhered it to the front of the card. I would normally only adhere this type of decoration to the central, black, layer but this time I decided to continue over the entire card as I thought it would soften all those hard edges.
Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
Stephanie
Wow! This is a very pretty card, Stephanie. I love the balmy blue glimmer paper and the white accents on the bird to make it pop. So pretty! Enjoy your day!
