On Stage Local: Gold Coast, Australia November 2018

I thought I'd share some photo's from On Stage Local in the Gold Coast last Saturday - what an awesome day it was!  And even better - my husband and I took the opportunity to make a weekend of it!

This is a view from our balcony and to the left, the large, low building with the roundish roof is the Convention Centre where we attended On Stage.

There's always a surprise in the bag (sorry, I forgot to take a photo of that!) and this time we all received a special pin to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Stampin' Up!  The Crazy Crafter leader, Kylie Bertucci, could not attend this year but made sure that we all received special Crazy Crafter lanyards -she's so thoughtful and generous!
Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, The Crafty Thinker,

Most of the Crazy Crafters team attended the Melbourne On Stage Local but this is the team that was at the Gold Coast - small but fun!  It's always wonderful to actually meet up with people who play such an important part in our day to day stampin' lives!

Stampin' Up! also gave us all a gorgeous mug, an awesome planner and some pens.

One of the many exciting opportunities at a Stampin' Up! event is the opportunity to meet and swap projects with other demonstrators.  I didn't have time to make very many swaps this year see here for what I made to swap) but this is what I received in return.

The weather was very kind to us and it was a pleasure to just look at the view from our room!

But we did spend some time exploring the beautiful coastline - only a few minutes from our hotel!

The beach was very popular (this is Miami beach in Queensland!) with competitions for little nippers (surf lifesaving for the kids).  That's Surfers Paradise at the other end of the beach.

Then there was this little guy!  I love lizards and this little Bearded Dragon was great fun - running around in the grass catching and eating flies!

I'm so happy I managed to catch him with his yellow tongue extended to catch the fly!

In the weeks to come, I'll start providing some sneak peeks of new products in the Occasions and Sale-A-Brations brochures .... and there's so much to drool over!

#stamparatus, #stampinup, Stamparatus, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW, Stamp placement tool

Meanwhile, coming up soon is the opportunity to reserve one of the first Stamparatus tools!  I nearly fell off my chair when this product was demonstrated - it's AWESOME and like none of the other stamping tools on the market.  I can't wait to try the Hinge-Step technique!  If you've not yet seen the Stamparatus - check out this video and then (if you live in Australia and don't have a regular Demonstrator) sign up for an account here from 8am on Friday 17 November to reserve one for yourself.

Thanks for visiting.
'Til next time!

On Stage Local - Luna Park, Sydney 8 April 2017

The venue
Be prepared - I'm about to wax lyrical!

Hmm which stamp set could this be?
What an amazing day!!  The whole experience was awesome but the standouts for me were:

The superb organisation of the event - thank you Stampin' Up!.  From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was just so orderly and happy!  I only found myself lining up for a short time on three occasions
The first bathroom break!
The coffee cart at lunch time (only because I was too lazy to walk a bit further!)
To use a Big Shot for one of the make & takes - despite the huge number provided, unavoidable with 500 people!

Officially excited!
The atmosphere.  The happiness and excitement in the air was palpable!  Everyone was so friendly and kind and I really enjoyed being in the company of so many like-minded people!  It was only my second event and I was nervous about helping out my team member who was attending for the first time.  I needn't have worried - there were lots of more experienced people who were eager to help us both.
The Crafty Thinkers team (we're looking for a good name!)

The products.  Oh... my... goodness!!!  I've started saving already - this catalogue is the best I've ever seen!  I was sticking little post its on pages that had items I really love and want to prioritise - I think I ended up hitting almost every page!  I shall have to find a new way to prioritise!
Prize Patrol!

The swaps.  Such a fun thing to do!  By the time I started swapping, I'd forgotten the long, tedious hours involved in making my swaps and exchanging my cards for somebody else's was a joy!  There are so many talented people to be inspired by and take tips from!

I hope you'll enjoy seeing the wonderful swaps I received.  I can't tell or show you much more at the moment but I'll share more with you soon!
