Poinsettia Petals Bundle with Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper in traditional colours

Following on from Friday's card, more fun with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle from the Poinsettia Place Suite.

This time I heat embossed the images from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Poinsettia Dies before arranging them onto a layer of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.

For both cards I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut the label out with one of the Ornate Frames dies.  For the top card I also used Shaded Spruce card and ink, All The Trimmings ribbon and Wonderful Gems

Free As A Bird in Yellow & Blue

These little birds are just so darn cute!  I Googled "little birds" to find some images to help me colour them and fell for the cheerful colours in these little guys.

A bright & cheerful card featuring the Free As A Bird Bundle
I stamped onto Whisper White card with Stazon black ink and then watercoloured with Blueberry Bushel and Crushed Curry ink.  There's also some Soft Suede, Garden Green and Petal Pink for the tree and a light wash of Balmy Blue for a hint of sky.

I used the coordinating Stitched Nested Labels die (part of the Free As A Bird Bundle) to cut out the piece and then layered it onto the Crushed Curry base card with Blueberry Bushel layer that was cut with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

Just for a little more interest, I added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Thank you for visiting.

Sailing Home Bundle: A Lighthouse and Two Yachts

This is a birthday card for my wonderful husband who I love to bits!  He really is my true north as well as my anchor in life.  He's always supportive and always there for me.  Right now he's supporting me through cancer diagnosis and treatment and I don't know how I would cope without his positivity and love.

It's just a shame that he gets seasick and doesn't like sailing!
#thecraftythinker #comesailaway #stampinup #cardmaking #rubberstamping , Come Sail Away Bundle, Lakeside dies, Masculine card, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A masculine birthday card featuring elements from the Sailing Home Bundle and Lakeside die set

The base card is one of the new In-Colours called Seaside Spray.  On top of the white layer there is a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies.  This was a leftover piece that was knocking around on my table.

I added some more Seaside Spray cut out with one of the dies in the Lakeside die set.  All the other nautical elements are from the Sailing Home Bundle.  The yachts were stamped with Stazon onto Seaside Spray cardstock and then coloured with Real Red and Whisper White Craft Ink.  The lighthouse and compass were stamped onto white card.

I stamped the birds with Whisper White Craft ink and the used a very small brush and some more of the white ink to add touches of highlight.

I cut the greeting out with dies in the Lakeside set using this method to extend the length a little.  I also used my guillotine to trim a tiny little bit from the top and bottom of the Blueberry Bushel label.

Thank you for visiting.

Best Catch in Garden Lane

For this masculine card, I CASED (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of my previous designs because I liked it so much and it was so very quick and easy to do!
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #bestcatch #masculinecard #rubberstamping , Best Catch, Perennial Essence, Masculine Card, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A masculine card featuring the Best Catch stamp set, Perennial Essence and Garden Lane papers
The base card is Mint Macaron layered with a piece of the Perennial Essence paper that reminded me a bit of pond weed.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels to cut tags from Mint Macaron cardstock and a leftover piece of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper.

The fish from the Best Catch stamp set is stamped with Stazon black ink and then watercoloured using Mint Macaron and So Saffron inks.  The greeting is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

Thank you for visiting.

Flourishing Phrases Black Magic

I made this card at the same time that I made the Flourishing Phrases Emboss Resist card.
#thecraftythinker #blackmagictechnique #flourishingphrases #cardmaking #stampinup #embossingtechniques , Black Magic Technique, Flourished Phrases, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Black Magic using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers
I don't know what this technique is called - I suppose it's a variant of the Black Magic technique.

Start out by wiping a piece of black cardstock with an Embossing Buddy then stamp the image with Versamark, sprinkle with white embossing powder and use the Heat Tool.

Then colour along the white lines with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers - I used Dark Bermuda Bay, Dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Real Red.

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and that Flirty Flamingo label is cut with one of the Stitched Labels dies.

Thank you for visiting today.
