Ribbon of Courage

I do hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season - it's certainly a busy time of year!

Well, this is a stamp set that I love for what it stands for but it's one that I hope not to have occasion to use.

However, just before Christmas my brother-in-law was diagnosed with bowel cancer and so 2019 will be the year of the battle for him.  But - we'll all be here to support him and we certainly have high hopes for a good outcome.

I've made this card for him.

A card of love and support for a young lady suffering from depression
Normally I can't wait to use the stamp sets that I buy but I feel myself fortunate that, until now, I haven't had cause to use the Ribbon of Courage set.

I've used predominantly orange with yellow in this card because it's for a young lady that I care about who suffers from depression and is going through a difficult time at the moment.  It's just to let her know that we love her and have her in our minds as well as our hearts.

The base card is Daffodil Delight with layers of Whisper White and Tangerine Tango.  I stamped everything with Tangerine Tango ink and coloured in with Stampin' Write Markers.  The ribbon is stamped directly onto the card front whilst the hearts were stamped separately and cut out with the coordinating dies.

There's a sprinkling of the very cheerful Tutti Frutti self-adhesive sequins to which I gave Rhinestone Jewel centres for a bit of extra bling.

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
