Rooted in Nature Black Ice Tree

This is the last in the series of Black Ice Technique cards that I made recently.  Previous ones can be viewed here, here and here.

Once again - I sincerely apologise for the terrible juxtaposition of names of stamp sets that I've used.
#thecraftythinker #cardmaking #stampinup #rubberstamping #blackice #stampinup #sneakpeek , Black Ice Technique, Sneak Peek, Rooted In Nature, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW

I used the same methodology as for this card, so I won't go into it all again here.

The base card is made from Smoky Slate.

Graceful Garden Black Ice Rose

So here's the third of my series of Black Ice cards (you can see the previous ones here and here) and this time I've used the Graceful Garden stamp set that's continuing into the new 2018 Annual Catalogue.

The base card is in the colour Petal Pink which is a new colour to the Collection in the new Catalogue.

I'm not quite finished with my fascination for the Black Ice Technique, so watch out for one more.

I embossed the piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Layered Leaves folder.

Rooted in Nature Black Ice Leaf - A masculine card

This card is entered into the Crafty Thinkers Team Highlights.  Click here to see all the entries and vote for your favourites.

The other day I shared with you my first Black Ice technique card and promised more to come ... so here's the second one!

My thought process was that the image of the hardwood planks would be a good pairing with the leafy images in the Rooted In Nature stamp set .... it was only as I was writing this blog that I realised the full calamity of the blend of names! (possibly compounded by the title I gave it) ... Don't think about it too much!

For this one, I started out with Silver Foil Sheet and used the new Rooted In Nature stamp set that will be available from 1 June in the new 2018 Annual Catalogue.  It's popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

The base card is Basic Black and then there are layers of Silver Foil Sheet (having cut out the middle for use in another project) and Basic Black before I added a decorative layer.

To create the decorative layer, I stamped onto Basic Black card using the Hardwood background stamp and White Craft Ink which I sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set.

Floral Phrases Copper Black ice

I just love the shimmer and shine on this card but it's really hard to capture in a photograph!

The beautiful Floral Phrases stamp set is continuing into the new 2018 Annual Catalogue, which makes me very happy!  Gray Granite is new to the Stampin' Up! colour palette in the new catalogue and it's already become one of my firm favourites!

I've been admiring all the beautiful projects created with the Black Ice technique so I thought I'd have a go.  It turned out to be very addictive - so be prepared to see several more cards featuring this technique in the near future!

My thanks to Melissa Kerman for her great tutorial.
