A very quickly created set of cards using the Boho Indigo medley and Gilded Leafing

Here I am - still completely hooked on the Gilded Leafing!

This time I've made a set of cards using the gorgeous Boho Indigo product medley.

Gilded Leafing also works well on Very Vanilla (or white) backgrounds - it's less dramatic, more subtle

The cards look (I think, anyway, but I may be biased!) elegant and attractive, especially with the addition of that beautiful soft but rich gold.  They are, however, incredibly quick and easy to make!

I stamped the image with liquid glue and applied Gilded Leafing

I did all the gold work at the same time, so only one clean up!

I stamped with Multipurpose Liquid glue and applied the glue as described here.

Boho Indigo - elegant, stylish, simple!

In fact, I did a lot of gilding that morning!

When I work with Gilded Leafing - I tend to work in bulk and only have the one clean up!

Then it was just a matter of layering the cards with the beautiful Boho Indigo papers and Night of Navy cardstock and adding a few embellishments.

The flowers are included in the medley.  I gave some of them a darker centre with the addition of some sequins.

The birthday greeting is from the new Enjoy The Moment stamp set and I cut them out with a stitched Rectangle die - shortening the piece like this.

Thank you for visiting.

Arrow Fold fun fold with Boho Indigo and Peony

#thecraftythinker #arrowfold #funfold #cardmaking #stampinup #bohoindigo , Arrow Fold Card, Fun Fold, Boho Indigo, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Arrow Fold card featuring the gorgeous Boho Indigo product medley

My thanks go to my lovely friend, Satomi, for bringing this gorgeous fold to my attention and to Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft for creating it!

I've basically followed Sam's tutorial, with just a couple of minor alterations that embrace our metric measurements.

The Tasteful Label provides a space to write a message

I used an A4 sheet of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it to 30cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in the middle to create a folded card measuring 15cm x 10.5cm.

Following Sam's tutorial, I placed the fold at the top and then made little pencil marks on each side at 3.5cm and 7cm.  I also made a pencil mark on the bottom edge at 7.5cm.  Then, having opened up the card so that I only scored the top layer, I carefully scored a line from the centre point on the bottom edge to each of the marks on the side and also to the top corners.  So that's 3 scored lines on each side, meeting at the centre point at the bottom of the card.

I then burnished the scored lines and folded as shown in Sam's tutorial.

To create the triangular layers, I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 14cm x 10cm.  I made a little pencil mark in the centre of the bottom edge (at 7cm) and then carefully cut from each top corner down to that centre point.

For the layer of patterned paper, I cut a rectangle 13cm x 9.5cm.  Placing a pencil mark on the bottom edge at 6.5cm, I repeated the previous steps.

Instead of using the remaining triangles of paper to decorate the inside of the card, I cut rectangles 14.5cm x10cm for the Night of Navy and 14cm x 9.5cm for the Boho Indigo paper.

I then adhered a Very Vanilla label cut with one of the Painted Labels dies, stamped with a sentiment from the Four Seasons Floral stamp set.

I had so much fun and the fold is so gorgeous that I then set about making another!  This time I used Whisper White and Gray Granite cardstock, Peony Garden Designer Series Paper, Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder, Peony Dies and Petal Pink cardstock.  I used Basic Gray and Sahara Sand cardstock for the leaves.

I hope you've enjoyed these cards and I do encourage you to visit Sam Calcott's tutorial.

Next week, I'll share my square version of this Arrow Fold, which I've also adapted from one of Sam's tutorials.

Boho Indigo Stamped Vase Card

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #bohoindigomedley #2020annualcatalogue , Boho Indigo Medley, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A simple card created with the Boho Indigo Product Medley

As promised, here's another very quick and simple card made with the gorgeous Boho Indigo Product Medley.

The base card is made from Misty Moonlight cardstock with a layer of the gorgeous Boho Indigo paper.

This time, I stamped the vase onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink.  Then I added the gold heat embossed foliage and cut out the piece with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I added a layer of Gold Foil Sheet before adhering to the card front (remember to cut out the centre of the gold foil to make it go further!).

I stamped the flowers and cut them out with the coordinating die included in the set and also used one of the dies to cut some more foliage from one of the papers.

Lastly, I added a little bow made from the Forever Greenery Trim.

I love these products, so I'm sure I'll be sharing more Boho Indigo project soon!

Thank you for visiting.

The Boho Indigo Product Medley - a really good investment in creative possibilities

As soon as I saw the Boho Indigo Product Medley I just knew it had to join me in my craft room!  I love the papers, the stamps, dies, embellishments ... everything!  So I worked and worked on my wish list so that I could prioritise buying it!  And I'm so glad I did!   It's even better than I'd hoped!

It's sooo versatile - really easy to create a myriad of very different styles and projects.  Then, of course, it really lends itself well to a monochromatic card - which I love to do.  And, I love its elegance as well as the colour scheme and patterns.  It's great for people like me who just love the colours and patterns but especially great for people with a little experience who are ready to expand their creative possibilities with just one "set" that all works together but can also be used individually.

The papers are 6" square and in addition to the gorgeous blue patterns, there are some that are dry embossed Very Vanilla.

In this card, I created layers with Night of Navy cardstock combined with some of the embossed Very Vanilla and some of the blue patterned paper.

I added pieces of each of the ribbons to the centre piece before adhering it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then I used more Dimensionals to stick one of the label die cuts to the card and topped it with one of the gold flowers, some of the foliage and one of the larger white paper flowers, all included in the set.

I couldn't resist an extra dash of bling, so I also added some Holiday Rhinestones even though they weren't really necessary!

It's so quick and easy to create with this Medley (almost a kit really) that I made a few more cards in quick succession and I'll be sharing those in the next few days.

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when we'll be creating with the 2020-2022 In-Colours!

I'm Stephanie Fischer and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next with another great project.
