The Boho Indigo Product Medley - a really good investment in creative possibilities

As soon as I saw the Boho Indigo Product Medley I just knew it had to join me in my craft room!  I love the papers, the stamps, dies, embellishments ... everything!  So I worked and worked on my wish list so that I could prioritise buying it!  And I'm so glad I did!   It's even better than I'd hoped!

It's sooo versatile - really easy to create a myriad of very different styles and projects.  Then, of course, it really lends itself well to a monochromatic card - which I love to do.  And, I love its elegance as well as the colour scheme and patterns.  It's great for people like me who just love the colours and patterns but especially great for people with a little experience who are ready to expand their creative possibilities with just one "set" that all works together but can also be used individually.

The papers are 6" square and in addition to the gorgeous blue patterns, there are some that are dry embossed Very Vanilla.

In this card, I created layers with Night of Navy cardstock combined with some of the embossed Very Vanilla and some of the blue patterned paper.

I added pieces of each of the ribbons to the centre piece before adhering it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then I used more Dimensionals to stick one of the label die cuts to the card and topped it with one of the gold flowers, some of the foliage and one of the larger white paper flowers, all included in the set.

I couldn't resist an extra dash of bling, so I also added some Holiday Rhinestones even though they weren't really necessary!

It's so quick and easy to create with this Medley (almost a kit really) that I made a few more cards in quick succession and I'll be sharing those in the next few days.

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when we'll be creating with the 2020-2022 In-Colours!

A punch art Pokemon Gastly
I really don't have any kid type stamps sets at the moment, so I resorted to some "punch art".  I put that in inverted commas as some of the pieces are cut with dies rather than punches.

Meet Gastly - I'm sure we all know that he's a Pokemon character!

The purple background is a watercoloured "splodge" on watercolour paper.

The pieces required for the Gastly
These are the pieces I used.  The white one is cut twice on the diagonal to create the eyes.

I cut a slit in the black circle to house the tongue!

I also made a Voltorb - but I'll show you that one another time!

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when our theme will be the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue!

Rather than take up a lot of space here in the Blog Hop, I'll provide more details in my next post where I'll share how I rescued and used the manky-looking test piece shown below!

Here you can see the masks I used and my initial plan, which ended up as a test piece because I didn't like the composition
Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when we'll be preparing for the new Annual Catalogue by farewelling the outgoing In-colours.

A versatile card featuring the Free As A Bird stamp set, Painted Labels Dies and the gorgeous Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper that's FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying purchase
Well, I'll admit it - I cheated a bit for this card and CASEd one of my own cards!  But I'm very happy with result as I think it's quite versatile - I think it would make a good birthday card for either a male or a female recipient.

I stamped and watercoloured the bird and then cut it out using a Layering Circle die and the Out Of The Box technique (to free his tail).

The gold swirl is cut with one of the Painted Labels Dies (part of the Painted Poppies Bundle).

I sponged the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration) with Bermuda Bay ink.

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when our theme will be "Thank You".

Ink it! Stamp it! International Design Team Blog Hop - Mini & Sale-A-Bration Catalogues: Peaceful Poppies Suite

Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team Blog Hop - we hop every month so be sure to pop back and visit us again!

Today our theme is the Mini and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues.

Oh, I really love the Peaceful Poppies Suite of products!!
As I often do, I made a stencil with one of the Poppy Moments Dies and a piece of Window Sheet (so I can rinse and reuse it).  I used this to sponge onto a piece of Soft Sea Foam with Flirty Flamingo ink.  Then generously spritzed with water and allowed to dry.  This formed my background.

The poppy flowers are created with Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper and Calypso Coral cardstock.  The foliage is cut from Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

The label and it's flourish are cut with the Painted Labels Dies that also form part of the amazing Painted Poppies Suite and the greeting is from the coordinating Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.  I purchased the Poppy Moments Dies and Peaceful Moments stamps as a bundle and saved 10%.  Sale-A-Bration is a good time to make purchases such as this.  Each bundle in the Peaceful Poppies Suite qualifies for a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.

The finishing touches were a few Peaceful Poppies Sequins.

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when our theme will be "Birthday".

Ink it! Stamp it! International Design Team Blog Hop - Sneak Peeks Sale-A-Bration & Mini Catalogues: Power of Hope

Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team Blog Hop - we hop every month so be sure to pop back and visit us again!

Today we are providing sneak peeks from the new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues!

You are currently at my page - Stephanie Fischer, The Crafty Thinker.  At the end of my post there is a full line up of team members, please click on the name after mine in the list to continue the hop.
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #sneakpeekminicatalogue2020 #beautifullybraided , Sneak Peek Mini Catalogue 2020, Beautifully Braided, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
I think this image from the Beautifully Braided Bundle is going to be very versatile!
As soon as I saw the Beautifully Braided Bundle in the Mini Catalogue, I had a plan for it!  I started with a watercolour background.  Once it was dry I stamped the flowers with Stazon black ink and then watercoloured them with Cherry Cobbler ink.

TIP:  Since watercolour paper is absorbant, I find it best to use my Stamparatus for stamping so that I can ensure that I get the ink coverage I desire.

I then stamped the edge with Cherry Cobbler ink - again using the Stamparatus.

I punched out the braiding and then put it into the Stamparatus to add the Cherry Cobbler stamping.  Having lined it up at the top and stamped, all I had to do was move the plate down by two hinges and it lined up perfectly for the next section!

I then wrapped some Lovely Lipstick ribbon through the braiding.

I stamped the greeting (from Itty Bitty Greetings) with Cherry Cobbler ink onto an offcut of the background and cut it out with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies - I trimmed off the top and bottom points with my snips for a slightly less pointy, more curvacious look.
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #saleabration #powerofhope #sneakpeek , Sale-A-Bration, Power Of Hope, Japanese scene, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A little Japanese style scene created with the Power Of Hope stamp set FREE during Sale-A-Bration
The stamp set, together with the coordinating dies, form a bundle that's free with a product purchase of $180
This little Japanese scene was created with the Power of Hope stamp set that forms part of a bundle with coordinating dies and which I received FREE when I purchased $180 worth of products .... which was sooo easy to do, given that the new Mini Catalogue is amazing!

I stamped the three images with Stazon ink (I used black but I could have used the new brown one!) and then watercoloured with a variety of inks: the main ones being Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock.

I stamped the Itty Bitty greeting with Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies - trimming it to size to fit into the Poppy Parade rectangle cut with one of the new Stitched So Sweetly dies.

If you live in Australia and would like more information about the new catalogues or how to obtain free products during Sale-A-Bration, please contact me.
