I'm absolutely besotted with the stunning Springtime Foils SDSP!
I'm completely besotted with the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper that's FREE in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue (click here to see how to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration).  The sheets are all single sided and the stunning designs are printed with metallic foils: silver, copper and gold.  The only problem is that it's very hard to capture their beauty in a photograph!

Beautiful cards are so quick and easy to make with the gorgeous designs in the Springtime Foils paper pack!
For this card, which I'll be giving to my Mother-in-Law for her 88th birthday, I coloured some of the flowers on one sheet with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers (I used Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and Old Olive).  I then fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to another sheet of the Springtime Foils paper.

This photo shows the designs well but doesn't capture the warmth and shine of the silver stripes and copper flowers
The greeting is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and the banner, from the Bunch of Banners Framelits, is cut twice - once with Whisper White card and once with Rich Razzleberry.

Sale-A-Bration ends at midnight tomorrow (Saturday 31 March) so, if you live in Australia and would like to take advantage of the specials, pop on over to visit my store without delay!

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!

Celebrate Sale-A-Bration with Springtime Foils

It's hard to believe that Sale-A-Bration is almost over for another year!  I hope you've all had as much fun with it as I!

The FREE (with $90 purchase) Springtime Foils paper is STUNNING!
My last Sale-A-Bration package of freebies arrived while I was away on holiday, including this stunning Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper - so this is my first (and rather belated) play with it.  All I can say is "Wow!" - it's sooo beautiful! .....but so hard to photograph!

Sale-A-Bration ends at midnight on 31st March, so if you live in Australia, visit my online store - you'll be able to choose a FREE, exlusive Sale-A-Bration item for every $90 of product purchased.

I used my Pool Party Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) to colour the background of a piece of the paper that features copper foil flowers with gold highlights.  I then used another of my Sale-A-Bration freebies, the Amazing You stamp set, to copper heat emboss the gorgeous flower that I cut out and stuck on a corner.

Another Sale-A-Bration freebie was perfect for cutting out a copper foil greeting.  The word "Celebrate" is one of the dies in the Celebrate You Thinlits set.  The Multipurpose Adhesive Strip that I had applied to the back of the foil made it very easy to stick to the strip of Bermuda Bay card with it's copper foil edge.

I used the Bouquet Bunch Framelits  dies to cut the foliage from some Copper Foil Sheet.

A card that celebrates Sale-A-Bration 2018!
After colouring the paper with my alcohol markers, I cut it in half and used the other half on another card, which I've included below - although, once again, I couldn't capture the true warmth and beauty of the paper in my photo.

I used Pool Party card for the basic card this time.  The sentiment and label outline are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  The sentiment is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink and the label is copper heat embossed and then cut with the Classic Label punch.

Thank you for visiting.

Beautiful You meets Celebrate You
In my opinion, Cathy's card is just perfect, so I really didn't want to mess too much with the design.

I used the Labeler Alphabet stamps to white heat emboss the word "are" onto Basic Black cardstock.  Using the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets made adhering the Celebrate You die cuts very quick and easy to do.

By the way - the Celebrate You dies are available FREE during Sale-A-Bration (until the end of March) with a qualifying purchase.  All the details of the incredible Sale-A-Bration offers and opportunities are on my Specials & Promotions page.

I coloured the Beautiful You lady with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, so I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The base card is Berry Burst with a layer of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.

For the final decorations, I used two pieces of Berry Burst ribbon and one piece of Whisper White and a sprinkling of Tutti Frutti Self Adhesive Sequins.

Just Add Colour meets Brusho

It seems I've always had a bit of a confused relationship with the colour orange - whilst I maintain that I don't really care for it - it's always called to me very strongly!

As a youngster one of the biggest arguments my mother and I ever had was over a bright orange silk shirt that I desperately wanted!  Fortunately, she won that battle!  However, when I came home from boarding school to discover that she'd painted one of the walls in my bedroom bright orange, I had to hide my dismay and learn to live with it for more years than I care to remember!
#thecraftythinker, #cardmaking, #brusho, #stampinup, #saleabration, Brusho, Just Add Color, Celebrate You, Sale-A-Bration, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
The background is coloured with brushed-on Brusho and the images are coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers
So here we are again, orange and I!  It was a subconscious choice.

This card started with some leftover drops of watery Brusho on my mat after I'd made some backgrounds.  I already had the Just Add Color Designer Series Paper on my desk so it was just a natural progression to use a large brush to add the Brusho to the background of this strip of paper.  In places my brush caught parts of the images but it didn't matter - those accidents turned into shading!

Once it was dry, I coloured the images with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, using the dark Bermuda Bay marker to add some shadows.

I cut the word twice, once in Pumpkin Pie and once in Tangerine Tango, offsetting them slightly.  The Celebrate You die set is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a purchase of $180.  Click on the Specials & Promotions tag above for all the great offers and opportunities on offer until 31st March.

I added strips of So Saffron cardstock to each side of the coloured panel and then mounted it on the Bermuda Bay base card.  The base card measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/8", scored in half at 4 9/16.

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters' Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper, Rose Coleman - we are thrilled to have Rose join us this month and so excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by her.

Whether you are starting the blog hop here at my blog, Stephanie Fischer - The Crafty Thinker, or have come from the person before me, be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

I liked so many of Rose's cards that it took me some time to work through a short list and then select the card to the left to CASE.   I chose it because I liked the simplicity of the design and thought I'd be able to use one of my Brusho backgrounds.

Brusho background.  The Celebrate You thinlit dies are FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration

The bold colours and contrasts make for quite a dramatic effect!

For this particular Brusho background, I spritzed Glossy White cardstock with LOTS of water until there was a layer of water all over the card.  I then sprinkled on some blue, red and yellow Brusho crystals and watched the magic of the blending!

I cut the word with one of the Celebrate You Thinlit dies that are FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a product order of $180.  For more information on all the great deals and offers available until 31st March, visit my Specials & Promotions page.
