A Christmas buckle card featuring the Beautiful You stamp set and Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder
I jazzed up the edge of the buckle with a silver frond cut with the Beautiful Boughs die set
Buckle Folds are an extension of the Joy Fold and have been around for ..... years!  But, despite having made umpteen joy fold cards I had never gone the extra little distance and created a buckle fold ... until now!

The image from Beautiful You is coloured with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  For the first card I dressed up her hat and hemline with a line of glue pressed into Ice Stampin' Glitter.  I'd received my bottle of Snowfall Accents Puff Paint by the time I made the second card (below) so I used that and then added some of the Ice glitter on top for sparkle.

Beautiful You Get Well Card

A beautiful, and very energetic, colleague is about to have a knee replacement and so I've made a card for her - ready to send to her after her surgery.

Beautiful You paired with the new Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

My message inside will be something like "I hope you're soon up and dancing!".

I stamped the Beautiful You image with Petal Pink ink onto Shimmery White cardstock and then coloured it with Stampin' Blends using the following combinations: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Petal Pink and Soft Suede.

The base card is Balmy Blue and I embossed the Pacific Point layer with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - new in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

Jessica has loads of wonderful inspiration on her blog but it was the one to the left that jumped out at me and said "CASE me!" I really like the classic layout and the simple colour palette.

So here's my version.  I kept the embossed panel and the two-colour palette and made only minor changes to the layout.  I haven't included a sentiment at this stage because this is a card that could cover a variety of occasions.

The returning Coastal Cabana colour is one of my favourites!
I especially love it paired with Night of Navy or Blueberry Bushel.

The base card is Night of Navy and the Coastal Cabana (Yay!! it's coming back!!!  I love that colour!) layer is embossed with the Seaside embossing folder.   The image from the Beautiful You stamp set is watercoloured with Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Petal Pink and Soft Suede inks.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest: Cathy Caines

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters' Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper, Cathy Caines - we are thrilled to have Cathy join us this month and so excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by her.

Whether you are starting the blog hop here at my blog, Stephanie Fischer - The Crafty Thinker, or have come from the person before me, be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey through the blog hop.

Cathy is a super-talented member of the Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team and her blog is filled with amazing cards, so it took me a while to settle on a card to CASE - but it was such a pleasurable process!  If you click on the picture of Cathy's card above, you'll also be able to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Cathy's projects!

Beautiful You meets Celebrate You
In my opinion, Cathy's card is just perfect, so I really didn't want to mess too much with the design.

I used the Labeler Alphabet stamps to white heat emboss the word "are" onto Basic Black cardstock.  Using the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets made adhering the Celebrate You die cuts very quick and easy to do.

By the way - the Celebrate You dies are available FREE during Sale-A-Bration (until the end of March) with a qualifying purchase.  All the details of the incredible Sale-A-Bration offers and opportunities are on my Specials & Promotions page.

I coloured the Beautiful You lady with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, so I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The base card is Berry Burst with a layer of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.

For the final decorations, I used two pieces of Berry Burst ribbon and one piece of Whisper White and a sprinkling of Tutti Frutti Self Adhesive Sequins.

Four stamp sets combined to create a little Christmas Eve scene

Something that I enjoy immensely is to combine several stamp sets into a little scene.  Here I've used four stamp sets:

Santa Paws - the festive dog
Carols of Christmas (plus coordinating dies) baubles on the tree
Beautiful You - the gorgeous lady
Ready for Christmas (plus coordinating dies) - the tree, gifts and greetings

Colouring is another of my favourite things to do and here I've combined traditional stamping, sponging, Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and just a touch of  Real Red Stampin' Write marker on the red gift.

I created my scene on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I had cut to size and then applied it to my Crushed Curry card base.

I hope you've enjoyed this this card and I welcome your comments.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month for our Sale-A-Bration projects! I'm Stephanie Fischer and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next with another great technique.
