Incredible Like You: Black, Granite & Calypso Coral

As I mentioned when I shared this card, I was too excited by the theme for our November Ink It, Stamp It International Design Team Blog Hop to wait (don't worry - I'll make another card for the hop!) and found tremendous inspiration in the pages of a store catalogue that had been thrust into our mail box and would normally have gone straight into the bin.

A simple colour scheme, flowers and stripes makes for a striking card

For this card I used the Incredible Like You stamp set for the stripes and the flowers and a Frosted Bouquet die for the leaves and stems. 

The flowers use the two-step stamping technique and I used Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade inks on Calypso Coral cardstock.

I cutout and layered the greeting using the Stitched Rectangle dies and I did find it helpful to use my Stamparatus when stamping the greeting so that I could repeatedly stamp in the same spot to intensify the depth of colour.

Butterfly Gala on Floral Frame

The beautiful opalenscence of the paper and the iridescence of the Grapefruit Grove Foil sadly
don't show up in my photo

For this card I gold heat embossed the butterflies onto Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet and coloured them in places with a Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend alcohol marker before punching them out with the coordinating punch.  I gave the large butterfly some antenna with a bit of black thread and all the wings are popped up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

The butterflies are sitting on Mint Macaron cut with one of the Stitched Shapes square dies; Tranquil Tide cut with one of the Floral Frames framelits (followed up with the use of the embossing mat) and a Stitched Shapes circle cut from Petal Pink.

The greeting is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink onto the Petal Pink cardstock and layered with Mint Macaron cardstock - both layers cut with dies from the Frosted Bouquet framelits.

Let It Ride - Galloping Horse

There are a few people in my life who love horses and so I felt compelled to purchase this stamp set when I saw it!  This card will be for one of my nieces.

I was really spoilt for choice because I love Wendy's style and she has so many stunning cards over on her blog but I was really drawn to the simplicity and pretty colours on the card I eventually chose to CASE.

This card features the gorgeous Butterfly Gala set in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue

I decided to try using a similar design but using the Butterfly Gala stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.  I changed to a square card to allow for the larger butterfly image.

The butterly stamps in the set are in pairs - a larger one and a smaller one - which are perfectly positioned to work with the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch.  TIP: In order to stamp the individual butterflies straight onto the card front, I put some washi tape over the unwanted image before tapping into the ink and then removed the washi before I stamped onto the card.

To obtain the two-tone label, I cut two of them, one in Petal Pink  and one in Tranquil Tide.  Keeping all of the pieces intact in the green one, I glued it to the card front.  Having removed the little edge pieces from the pink one, I glued it on top of the green one.
