Four stamp sets combined to create a little Christmas Eve scene

Something that I enjoy immensely is to combine several stamp sets into a little scene.  Here I've used four stamp sets:

Santa Paws - the festive dog
Carols of Christmas (plus coordinating dies) baubles on the tree
Beautiful You - the gorgeous lady
Ready for Christmas (plus coordinating dies) - the tree, gifts and greetings

Colouring is another of my favourite things to do and here I've combined traditional stamping, sponging, Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and just a touch of  Real Red Stampin' Write marker on the red gift.

I created my scene on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I had cut to size and then applied it to my Crushed Curry card base.

Santa Paws Combo

This is a Christmas card for a pet-loving friend!  

Santa Paws Christmas Card coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my new favourite toy - my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  

These great markers will be available from 1 November either as packs of two (light and dark shade), individually or the complete collection.  While stocks last, there will also be the option to purchase a project kit and exclusive stamp both featuring lovely line drawings ready to be coloured.  There are 12 Stampin' Up shades - light and dark shade - two skin tones and a colour lifter ... so that's 27 markers in the collection.

I was at first intimidated by the thought of colouring the larger image but, once I started, I realised that the alcohol markers would make quick (and very enjoyable!) work of it.

I trimmed the end of the sentiment with one of the Lots of Labels framelits and I couldn't resist adding some sequins for a bit of bling!

Santa Paws Trio

I'm so grateful for Designer Series Paper at this time of year!  It makes creating effective and individual Christmas cards (yes - I know I'm crazy but I like to give everyone a different card!) a snap!

A quick and fun Christmas card with patterned paper and a stamped image

This trio of singing (or caterwalling?) cats really appealed to me in the Santa Paws stamp set and it was so much fun to colour the image with the Stampin' Write Markers before I cut it out with an oval Stitched Shapes die.

Having sponged a piece of black and white checked paper from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper pack with Emerald Envy ink, I layered it onto my Basic Black card followed by layers of Whisper White and Merry Music Designer Series Paper.

I trimmed the ends of the sentiment and its Emerald Envy mat with Lots of Labels dies and added it to the card with dimensionals.

Last, but not least, I added some of the gorgeous opalescent sequins in a variety of sizes from the Metallic Sequins Assortment.
