Blended Seasons Holly Christmas Card

I'm a big fan of versatillity so I LOVE these new limited-time products: Blended Seasons stamp set and coordinating Stitched Seasons framelit dies.  They cover a myriad of occasions from thank you cards, birthdays and anniversaries to get well and sympathy cards and Christmas!

Colour the images with any medium that takes your fancy.  I've watercoloured, used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and for this card I used the Stampin' Write Markers.

The limited-time Blended Seasons stamp set and Stitched Seasons dies are perfect for making Christmas cards!

I kept this spare piece for another card

The base card is Granny Apple Green.  I cut into the Whisper White layer with two of the framelits from the Stitched Seasons set and removed the resulting frame shape (which I kept to one side and used in my next Christmas card).

I used the same larger framelit to cut a piece of Poppy Parade which I adhered to the card front, nestled nicely into the empty space to produce one flat layer with two colours.

I stamped the holly image at the top of the smaller white label using Mossy Meadow ink.
I then thoroughly cleaned and dried my stamp and used Mossy Meadow and Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Markers to ink up just one holly cluster which I stamped into one lower corner and then repeated on the other side.

I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the images in Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron and I added a touch of Cherry Cobbler to the berries by squiggling the marker onto an acrylic block and picking up a little on the end of a Blender Pen.

The greeting was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and then I adhered the decorated label to the card front and added the little red bow. Since I lacked Poppy Parade ribbon, I coloured a length of Whisper White Classic Weave ribbon with Poppy Parade ink and let it dry.

Christmas Card - Brusho with Starlight

I was so excited to see the Brusho Crystals in the new Occasions Catalogue and have been hanging out to try them!  They didn't disappoint!  For the background panel in this card I simply wet the whole piece thoroughly and then sprinkled on a couple of colours of crystals.  It gives me so much joy to watch the colours spread and blend!

Brusho Crystals make a dramatic background for the shimmery Starlight Star on this Christmas card

I layered the background onto a piece of Night of Navy and then Tangerine Tango.  The Starlight star is cut with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and has a Glitter Enamel Dot centre.  The greeting, stamped in Basic Black, is from the Better Together set.

Cookie Cutter Santa Blend

This is a very simple Christmas card using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and the new Stampin' Blend alcohol markers that will be available from Wednesday 1 November.

The base card is Basic Gray.  The Whisper White layer was embossed with the Holly embossing folder and swiped with a Smoky Slate ink pad.  

Santa was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with the alcohol markers before cutting out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder punch.

To finish the card there's a strip of Real Red cardstock with a line of Black Mini Sequin Trim and a sprinkle of Rhinestones.

Pretty Pines & Washi Tape

I love washi tape.  In fact I have a growing collection of beautiful washi tape - and that's the problem ... it's a collection!  I love it, I buy it and then I don't use it and joins my collection!  So I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and use my latest addition to the collection - the very gorgeous Year of Cheer Specialty Washi tape.

Washi Tape creates an interesting background for the simple pine cones

I didn't really have a plan in mind, I just started adding strips of washi to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.

I then used the Pretty Pines dies to cut some pine branches in Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the pine cones are layers of gold and copper foil sheet.

The copper holds the design together

I copper heat embossed the banner from the Banners For You stamp set and stamped the greeting from the Star of Light stamp set in Basic Gray.  One of the great thing about photopolymer greetings is that you can manipulate them to fit the shape of the banner.  I watercoloured a little Basic Gray to the ends of the banners and cut it out with one of the Bunch of Banners framelits.

I adhered the grey panel to a Very Vanilla card base (I used the thick Very Vanilla cardstock) to finish this quick, simple but elegant Christmas card.

This is a Christmas card for a pet-loving friend!  

Santa Paws Christmas Card coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my new favourite toy - my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  

These great markers will be available from 1 November either as packs of two (light and dark shade), individually or the complete collection.  While stocks last, there will also be the option to purchase a project kit and exclusive stamp both featuring lovely line drawings ready to be coloured.  There are 12 Stampin' Up shades - light and dark shade - two skin tones and a colour lifter ... so that's 27 markers in the collection.

I was at first intimidated by the thought of colouring the larger image but, once I started, I realised that the alcohol markers would make quick (and very enjoyable!) work of it.

I trimmed the end of the sentiment with one of the Lots of Labels framelits and I couldn't resist adding some sequins for a bit of bling!
