Share What You Love Farewell

The Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is so beautiful that I've used it for loads of projects.  It's such a generous quantity of papers though that I've still got plenty of this gorgeous paper left and, sadly, it'll be retiring on 2nd June.

So I'm busy making projects to use it up!  This is one of them - it's very simple and lets the paper speak for itself.

The beautiful Share What You Love suite of products will be retiring on 2nd June

The base card is Crumb Cake and each panel of of the pretty paper is layered onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

The Tranquil Tide circular frame has been kicking around on my desk for months (it was a by-product when I decided to use a smaller circle than I'd originally intended on a previous project!).

I added some of the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon to a piece of Burlap and cut into an arrow shape.

For bling, there are Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and the beautiful little silver roses from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

If you're wondering about that little "buckle" - it's a combination of Stitched Labels dies.

The retiring products will only be available until 2 June or while stocks lasts, so take a look at the Last Chance Products now.

Christmas In The Woods

This is a card that uses up leftovers on my table!

Simple but elegant Christmas Card with no stamping

I cut the tree when I was playing with ideas for another card and decided I needed to use a different colour cardstock.  The decorative two-tone circle is left over from this card.

I just added some Frost White Shimmer Paint and some ribbons!

DSP leftovers!

Since it's Friday, my card today is entered into the Crazy Crafters Project Highlights.  Click here to see all the other entries and vote for your favourites.


This card started with a piece of Affectionately Yours DSP leftover from a previous card.  The paper is too beautiful to waste any! 

The Affectionately Yours DSP is just too gorgeous to hit the bin!

I layered my curvy piece of DSP onto some Night of Navy cardstock  and then layered that onto some Crumb Cake cardstock which I placed on a Night of Navy card.

I quickly cut some decorations with the Botanical Builder framelits using Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze cardstock.

To bring out the copper in the DSP, I copper heat embossed a small piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and cut out some flower centres .

I lightly sponged the edges of the Crumb Cake flower, assembled my decorations and finished with some Rhinestones.

Did you notice - there's no stamping on this card!

Framed Botanical Builder Flowers

A rarity for me - a card with no ink!

I love the look of the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum - so I succumbed and bought some!  Although, this card is really all about the flowers.

I cut two frames - one in Basic Gray and one in Gold Foil, offset them a bit and stuck them together.

The card base is in Basic Black with layers of Gold Foil and Rich Razzleberry.

The flowers and leaves are in Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Blackberry Bliss.

It's a very simple card that packs a punch - and there's no ink!

Rose Garden - no stamping card

The Greetings Thinlits are an excellent option for adding a greeting without stamping

The stand out feature of this card is that it has no stamping!

A very inspiration lady has joined my cardmaking classes.  She has a great attitude and focuses on what she can do rather than what she can't do but she has a fairly severe hand tremor which makes stamping impossible for her.  So I've been thinking up card ideas that have no stamping.

Whilst she doesn't mind accepting some help and I don't mind giving it - it's always nice to go home feeling proud of something we've done by ourselves, so that's what we'll aim for.

I've kept this one very simple while we explore what her hands will let her accomplish in the time-frame.

My lesson from her so far is to think positive and give it a go - not give in to the temptation to focus on what I think I can't do.  I might surprise myself!
