Home to Roost with Timber Three Ways - A Masculine Card

Whenever I stamp and colour an image for the first time, I always stamp two and use one as a practice / experimental piece.  Sometimes I'm happy enough with the initial result that I also use my practice piece in a card.  This card uses the practice rooster I did when I made this card.

Another masculine card using the Home To Roost stamp set and Wood Textures papers
The rooster is stamped and coloured in exactly the same way as in that card but I didn't do the additional masking and stamping.

The base card is Basic Black with layers of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  The greeting is stamped onto Wood Textures paper with black ink and then cut out with one of the Stitched Labels dies and there's a swirl of Black Cord under it.

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!

Home to Roost with Burlap - A masculine card

It's taken me a while to get to use this gorgeous fellow!  This is the Home To Roost stamp set and it's FREE (until 31st March) with a $90 product purchase!  I think it makes a nice masculine card.

The Home To Roost stamp set is perfect for a masculine card and is FREE during Sale-A-Bration
with a product purchase of $90
The base card is Night of Navy and there are layers of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  I added a piece of Burlap Ribbon and tied a bow with a little bit that I'd pulled out of the ribbon.

I stamped the rooster onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Night of Navy ink, masked him and then stamped the grasses with Soft Suede ink.

Having removed the mask, I coloured the rooster with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.  I used Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy.
