Lovely Lace and pearl

Stampin' Up Australia, #thecraftythinker, Lovely Lace Embossing Folder, Stampin up Australia Demonstrator, Gilding Wax
Metallics, lace and pearl - seems like a good combination

This is a bit of an unusual card for me - I have used some product not carried by Stampin' Up.

I've just returned from a month in England.  Naturally, I simply had to visit at least one craft store while I was there and some gilding wax jumped into my basket!

I'm still a little jet-lagged and feeling a bit out of touch with my craft space but I was eager to try out the gilding wax.  The Lovely Lace embossing folder seemed like a good test for it and I tried all five (you have to get it when you see it, right?!) of the colours that I brought back with me: Silver, Copper, Ultramarine, Enchanted Gold and Golden Light

My test piece was never intended to see the light of day but the more I looked at it, the more I liked the strange mix of colours and random application!

I kept the card design simple to let the embossing speak for itself and added some Copper Metallic Thread and a Metal Rimmed Pearl because lace and pearls are a classic mix!

Thank you for visiting

Crazy Crafters' July 31st Blog Hop - Tami White - Pretty Kitty

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper, the amazing Tami White - we are thrilled to have her join us this month and so excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by her.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

I hope you've enjoyed this card and I welcome your comments.

I chose this card of Tami's as my inspiration piece.  I've never used circles in this way and find it a very interesting design.  I was keen to see if I could use a similar layout for a feminine card.

This is such a sweet little cat image!

I bought the Pretty Kitty stamp set because not only do I like cats myself but several of my friends and family members describe themselves as crazy cat ladies!  I took this opportunity to ink it up for the first time.  I watercoloured it with Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy inks.

I used the Festive embossing folder and Tip Top Taupe mini striped ribbon to set off the Blooms & Bliss DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  I cut the circles with the Layering Circles dies.

A few flowers from the Blooms & Wishes set decorate the inside of the card

I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set with Sweet Sugarplum, Basic Black and Blushing Bride inks for the inside of the card.
