I'm so excited (and also a bit intimidated!) about this Blog Hop - when I discovered Jay was to be our Guest Stamper I actually squealed - because I just LOVE his work (always imaginative, beautifully executed and brimming with inspiration) and have been following Jay and Barry at Mitosu Crafts for a long time. So it was extremely difficult to choose which amazing piece to CASE!  Eventually I chose this one because it would lead me to do something new for me.

And this is what I did with it.

The floral images are from the Flirty Flowers stamp set

I clear heat embossed the centre flower and masked it before stamping the other image three times with Whisper White Craft ink.  I then removed the mask and, using a paintbrush, coloured the centre flower with the same white craft ink, building up layers of pigment.

The greeting is white heat embossed.
If I were to do this again, I would stamp off the image directly behind the centre flower. 

Tip:
As always when using white craft ink, care needs to be taken to avoid smudging as you work because it takes a long time to dry.

Yellow Floral Statement of Gratitude

I love this stamp set!  There are two flower-wrapped greetings (the other one says "Hello") in the set.  Yellow roses are my favourite!

Floral Statements - I love a stamp set that does most of the work!

Get different looks by stamping on different cardstock, colour them as you will (or even leave them uncoloured if you choose) and you have a beautiful card!  

In this instance, I stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink and watercoloured with Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

I layered my panel onto a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and added some Crushed Curry ribbon before layering onto my Old Olive card.

Beautiful Bouquet

This card started with a test piece using the Pattern Party masks and Embossing Paste, to which I had added a drop of Fresh Fig ink and lots of Dazzling Diamonds glitter. 

The Embossing Paste is so versatile - add colour and/or glitter for a variety of finishes

Having sat on my table for quite some time while I remained perplexed what to do with this shimmery pink wall pattern, I added some flowers, foliage and ribbon.

The flowers, from Beautiful Bouquet, are patted into a lighter ink and then sponged lightly with a darker ink before stamping.  They are cut with the matching dies in the Bouquet Bunch framelit set.  For the foliage, I cut several of the bunches in Tranquil Tide and Emerald Envy cardstock and cut some of them into smaller pieces as I arranged them because I wanted it to look more like a garden than a bouquet.  I saved 10% by purchasing the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and Bouquet Bunch framelits as a bundle.

The greeting, stamped with Tranquil Tide ink, is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  I cut it out with the label from the Rose Garden stamp set and edged it with Sweet Sugarplum ink.

The finishing touches were the Glitter Enamel Dots.

A matching Beautiful Bouquet flower appears inside the card along with another greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set

I chose this card of Tami's as my inspiration piece.  I've never used circles in this way and find it a very interesting design.  I was keen to see if I could use a similar layout for a feminine card.

This is such a sweet little cat image!

I bought the Pretty Kitty stamp set because not only do I like cats myself but several of my friends and family members describe themselves as crazy cat ladies!  I took this opportunity to ink it up for the first time.  I watercoloured it with Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy inks.

I used the Festive embossing folder and Tip Top Taupe mini striped ribbon to set off the Blooms & Bliss DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  I cut the circles with the Layering Circles dies.

I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set with Sweet Sugarplum, Basic Black and Blushing Bride inks for the inside of the card.
