Pure and Simple stamping

One stamp set (Beautifully Braided), one ink pad (Blueberry Bushel), one piece of cardstock (Balmy blue) - pure simple stamping.

Step it up by adding some colour to the flowers

To step it up a little, add some colour to the flowers.  I used Stampin' Blends in the Balmy Blue Combination.

Use a sentiment from a different stamp set if you wish

Step it up in a different way by using a sentiment in a larger font from a different stamp set (this one is from Magnolia Blooms).

This simple stamping card uses the Beautifully Braided stamp set, Purple Posy cardstock and Gorgeous Grape ink

Then step this up by adding colour to the flowers - I used the Highland Heather and Purple Posy Combination packs of Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

For the final step up, add a layer to the card.  Rhinestones, ribbon and/or sequins would be other good additions
Step it up one more time by stamping onto a layer and adhering that to a base card - in this case I made my base card from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Butterfly Gala Thanks

Most of us love a pretty butterfly image, especially when it comes with a coordinating punch!  Stampin' Up! have us covered in the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue with the gorgeous (and easy to use) Butterfly Gala Bundle

Who doesn't love a good butterfly image?
The images are very versatile - stamp them in whichever colour ink you like and they'll look pretty, on either white or coloured card.

Quickly add some colour to the wings with two-step stamping (as in the example above).  I'll admit that I often find two-step stamping a bit challenging but with this set I had no problems at all.  OR  colour them with your favourite method: watercolouring with inks, watercolour pencils, Stampin' Write Markers or Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Step it up a bit more, if you like, by adding more colour in the pretty patterns on the butterflies (I saved time and left them plain).

Step it up again by punching out the butterflies and attaching them to the project with some dimensionals under the wings to lift them up a little - which is what I did in the card above.

I first stamped the images onto the card front to make it a little easier for myself to add the antennae and then attached the punched butterflies.

I wasn't sure whether I liked the addition of the two little butterflies or not - so at the moment they're loosely attached.  I'd welcome your opinion - with or without the little butterflies?

Yellow Floral Statement of Gratitude

I love this stamp set!  There are two flower-wrapped greetings (the other one says "Hello") in the set.  Yellow roses are my favourite!

Floral Statements - I love a stamp set that does most of the work!

Get different looks by stamping on different cardstock, colour them as you will (or even leave them uncoloured if you choose) and you have a beautiful card!

In this instance, I stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink and watercoloured with Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

I layered my panel onto a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and added some Crushed Curry ribbon before layering onto my Old Olive card.

Thank you for your visit.

Timeless Love Thank You

I have entered this card into the Crazy Crafters' Project Highlights this week.  To see the other entries and to vote for your favourites, click here.

This card is to thank dear friends for including us in a remarkable wedding experience - it stretched over a long weekend and will live in our memory banks forever.

The bride loves roses and the curved shape of this image is similar to the one she used for her invitations - so I hope she'll like this.

I really love the combination of Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry.

The floral image is from the Timeless Love stamp set.  I stamped it onto watercolour paper with Archival Basic Black ink and then watercoloured it with Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Delightful Dijon.  There's also a touch of Gold Wink of Stella in the flower centres.

The greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set.  It is also stamped onto watercolour paper in Basic Black ink then cut out with one of the Layering Circles framelits.  I layered this onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cut with one of the scalloped Layering Circles framelits.

The 3D flower is made with the Paisley framelits.  You'll find my tutorial here.

I left the flowers inside the card unpainted.

Thank you for visiting today.
