Label Me Pretty on Garden Lane

I love it when a few simple things come together to form a really pretty card!
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #labelmepretty #cardmaking #simplecard , Label Me Pretty, Simple Card, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
An extremely simple yet pretty card featuring the Label me Pretty stamp set and Garden Lane papers

I stamped the image from the Label Me Pretty stamp set with Memento ink and coloured it with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron ink before cutting it out with the coordinating Pretty Label Punch.

I then punched another label from Petal Pink carstock, cut it in half and glued it into position to provide the pink edge to the label.

Magnolia Lane Memories & More - simple greeting card

Last week I shared a card that I made with the gorgeous new Good Morning Magnolia Bundle and today's card also uses products from the Magnolia Lane Suite - the Magnolia Lane Memories & More cards.

Although designed to fit into the Memories & More memory-keeping albums, these cards are brilliant for making quick and easy but gorgeous greeting cards.

The Magnolia Lane Memories & More cards are great for making quick and easy but gorgeous greeting cards
In addition to the pack of cards, I used a little bit of Petal Pink cardstock, Early Espresso ink, a base card of Crumb Cake, some Basic Self-Adhesive Sequins and the new Stitched Nested labels dies.  The greeting is from the coordinating Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.

Products from the new Annual Catalogue will be available from 4th June 2019 to 2nd June 2020.

Butterfly Gala Thanks

Most of us love a pretty butterfly image, especially when it comes with a coordinating punch!  Stampin' Up! have us covered in the new 2019 Occasions Catalogue with the gorgeous (and easy to use) Butterfly Gala Bundle
#thecraftythinker #butterflygala #stampinup #cardmaking #occasionscatalogue2019 , Butterfly Gala Bundle, 2019 Occasions Catalogue, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Who doesn't love a good butterfly image?
The images are very versatile - stamp them in whichever colour ink you like and they'll look pretty, on either white or coloured card.

Quickly add some colour to the wings with two-step stamping (as in the example above).  I'll admit that I often find two-step stamping a bit challenging but with this set I had no problems at all.  OR  colour them with your favourite method: watercolouring with inks, watercolour pencils, Stampin' Write Markers or Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Step it up a bit more, if you like, by adding more colour in the pretty patterns on the butterflies (I saved time and left them plain).

Step it up again by punching out the butterflies and attaching them to the project with some dimensionals under the wings to lift them up a little - which is what I did in the card above.

I first stamped the images onto the card front to make it a little easier for myself to add the antennae and then attached the punched butterflies.

I wasn't sure whether I liked the addition of the two little butterflies or not - so at the moment they're loosely attached.  I'd welcome your opinion - with or without the little butterflies?

All The Good Things

These koi from The All The Good Things stamp set are examples of the new, patent pending, Distinktive stamps which create different opacities in a single stamped image.  Just ink the stamp as usual, stamp and achieve realistic depth and intensity.

Click here for more information on these wonderful stamps.

One of Stampin' Up!s new patent pending Distinktive stamps - All Good Things
I stamped the images with Cajun Craze ink onto Shimmery White cardstock and then added some very soft washes of Coastal Cabana and Pumpkin Pie inks to provide a hint of water.

The base card is Pool Party with layers of Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze.

I added a little extra orange ink to these fish to cover the blue of the background cardstock.

For the next card I stamped onto Pool Party cardstock with Cajun Craze ink and then used a small brush with a little Pumpkin Pie ink to blend a bit more colour in areas of the fish that needed it.

I'm totally in love with the stamp set, not just because of the beautiful images, but also because it so easily creates a gorgeous card.

A very simple card using the gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper

The base card is Blueberry Bushel to which I added layers of Bermuda Bay and more Blueberry Bushel.

Using a Sponge Brayer, I applied Coastal Cabana ink to a piece of the gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper and adhered it to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock before attaching to the front of the card.

I stamped the banner and greeting from the Banners For You stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die in the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

The new Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper is so beautiful that a card doesn't need much else!

This is such a simple yet effective card!  I simply chopped off a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper that comes in a 12" sheet and glued it behind a frame of Gorgeous Grape cardstock - #loveitchopit . In this instance, I used the Very Vanilla side of the laser cut sheet (the other side is Whisper White).

The base card is Gorgeous Grape with a layer of Highland heather.

The greeting is from the Hand Delivered stamp set which is a Host set in the new Annual Catalogue and available, with a qualifying party/workshop, from 1 June.  It's stamped onto a small offcut of Mango Melody card from which I trimmed the corners with a 1/2" Circle punch.  This is mounted onto an offcut of Gorgeous Grape and finished with a couple of  Blackberry Bliss Faceted Dots - also available from 1 June in the new Annual Catalogue.

The Petal Palette images are so effortlessly pretty
So mine is less neutral and more cluttered!

The base card is Thick Whisper White and a collage of images from the Petal Palette stamp set is white heat embossed onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

A little bit of copper snuck in too, in the sequins and label edge.  Thank you, Janet, I really enjoyed making this card!
