Delightfully Detailed Blueberry

Another fond farewell - this time to the gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper.
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #delightfullydetailed , Delightfully Detailed paper, Darling Label Punch Box, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Saying farewell to the gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper
I used a sponge brayer to add Blueberry Bushel ink to the delicate paper and then adhered it to a watercolour background.  I always have a bunch of backgrounds stacked in a corner.  I think this one had Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel inks - so I used those colours for the rest of the card.

The white frame is cut with the Stitched Rectangles dies and I've added some Blueberry Bushel ribbon as well as the Granite Gray ribbon.

The greeting and label are from the Darling Label Punch Box. TIP:  I used a Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Marker to ink up just the swirl on the stamp and stamped it upside down on top of the sentiment.

TIP:  To colour the edges of the label I used a ruler and a Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend alcohol marker, just freehanding around the curves.

Delightfully Detailed Butterfly Gala Trio

Three quick and easy cards with butterflies and Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper!

Three quick and easy cards featuring the Butterfly Gala Bundle and Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper
The first one has a base of Night of Navy and a layer of Soft Sea Foam underneath the Delightfully Detailed paper.  I stamped the butterfly image onto Window Sheet with Stazon ink, and coloured the other side of the butterfly with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers before punching out with the coordinating punch in the bundle (save 10% by buying the stamp set and punch as a bundle).

Finishing touches are the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins and Faceted Dots.

The next card has a Mint Macaron base with a layer of Petal Pink under the Delightfully Detailed paper.  I stamped and coloured the butterfly as above but this time I also punched the butterfly shape from a piece of vellum and placed it under the coloured butterfly.

For a bit of bling, I used Glitter Enamel Dots and Faceted Dots.

I love this soft colour combination: Mint Macaron and Petal Pink
The last card is slightly different.  To the Thick Whisper White base card, I added layers of Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape.

I then used Pool Party and Highland Heather inks to sponge a piece of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a produce purchase of $90), and place a piece of Delightfully Detailed paper on top.

I then used the Butterfly Duet Punch from the bundle to punch out a variety of butterflies from other pieces of the Botanical Butterfly paper - I love how Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well!

Delightfully Detailed Brusho and Poinsettia

This is a card of leftovers and rejects! ... But I think they work together quite well!

A leftover poinsettia and rejected Brusho background working together to make a fun Christmas card

Behind the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut panel is a Brusho background that was a reject for this card.  It came out too strong and too stripey but works really well behind the laser cut paper.

The leaves for the poinsettia were left over from this card.  Since they're all the smaller leaves, it's a smaller flower.  I used the exact same technique to make the flower, as described by the amazing Jessie Holton (a fellow Crazy Crafter).

I used Stampin' Markers to ink up the label and sponged the edges with Poppy Parade ink after punching the label with the punch in the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.

Delightfully Detailed Watercolour

I made this card using the remaining piece of watercolour background left over from this card.  It's a CASE of one of my previous cards because I love the combination of watercolour background with a layer of the delicate Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper.

A watercolour background with Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper

The base card is Coastal Cabana to which are added layers of Gorgeous Grape and Very Vanilla.

I glued some Delightfully Detailed laser cut paper to the watercolour background and trimmed away the edges.

I cut some Grapefruit Grove cardstock with one of the Delicate Lace Edgelits and added it to the bottom of the focal piece followed by some Gorgeous Grape ribbon and matching Glitter Enamel Dots.

Serene Garden on Watercolour Background

This card is entered into the Crazy Crafters Team Highlights.  Click here to see all the projects and vote for your favourites.

Like many "crafty" people, at various times I've tried quite an array of arts and crafts and sometimes those different craft worlds seem to collide.  For instance, the gorgeous images in the Serene Garden stamp set very much remind me of my ceramics and porcelain painting days!

The simple colour palette and stylised flowers are reminiscent of blue & white pottery
So, I pulled out a background I'd watercoloured a while ago and my new Blueberry Bushel ink to create a little bit of an homage to traditional blue and white china.  I stamped and then watercoloured with the same ink colour.  TIP:  Since it can be a little difficult to obtain a clear stamped image on watercolour paper, I used my Stamparatus so that I could keep stamping in the same place until I was satisfied with the stamped image.

I used a ruler and a marker to extend the lines at the edges of the image.  I also used the marker to join the flower to the stem.  I'm sure I'm odd but the "floating flower" bothered me in this project.

Just love the combination of Blueberry Bushel and Coastal Cabana!
I adhered the stamped layer to a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  Before adhering my decorative layer to the card, I used one of the Petal Pair embossing folders on the right side of the card base.

Did you notice the diamond pattern down the left side?  That's me maximising my use of the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper!  I'd already used the strip of laser cut diamonds in this card and decided to use the leftover "blank" as a stencil.  TIP:  I taped the strip down at each end and used a piece of scrap paper to protect my card underneath and the rest of the "mask" from the ink.

Maximising the use of the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper - it works as a stencil too!
Inside the card, I stamped another image from the stamp set and watercoloured with Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay inks.
