Stylish Christmas is another of the Distinktive stamp sets and has GREAT images!

The Distinktive stamp set - Stylish Christmas - makes Christmas cardmaking easy!

Given that Distinktive stamps work best with ink pads that aren't too juicy, I used my old Real Red ink pad.  It wasn't really quite inky enough but, wanting to avoid over-inking the pad with my ink refill, I used my Stamparatus instead.  I inked and stamped the red poinsettia about three times before I was happy with the colour intensity.

I did use one of my new ink pads (Call Me Clover) for the leaves but I was careful to tap very lightly into the ink.  The flourish is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and I used the Real Red again for the work Peace.

The base card is Real Red and there's a layer of Shaded Spruce under the decorative card front.

What's Christmas without a bit of bling? So I added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to the centre of the Poinsettia and scattered some Red Rhinestones.

Healing Hugs with Bokeh background

Do you love the look of a bokeh background but don't want to get all inky?  Here's the answer:  Bokeh Dots background stamp!  There are two stamps in the set - the other provides a lovely starry night effect.

This is one of Stampin' Up's new Distinktive photorealistic stamps - just one stamp and it's done!  The only trick is to make sure that your ink pad is neither too juicy nor to dry - I think of them as Goldilocks stamps - the ink needs to be just right!

Bokeh Dots background with Healing Hugs for a get well card

I stamped this Bokeh Dot background with Rich Razzleberry ink and layered it onto my Thick Very Vanilla base card and layers.  The Rich Razzleberry layer has been embossed with the gorgeous Tufted 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder but, sadly, it desn't really show in my photo!

The flower is from the Healing Hugs stamp set and is also a Distinktive Stamp.  It looks gorgeous just inked with one colour but, for a little difference, I tapped it into Crushed Curry ink and then sponged some Mango Melody ink around the edges and a little towards the centre.

I then added a couple of elements from the Petals and More thinlits: the Crushed Curry lattice and the label for the greeting.

These koi from The All The Good Things stamp set are examples of the new, patent pending, Distinktive stamps which create different opacities in a single stamped image.  Just ink the stamp as usual, stamp and achieve realistic depth and intensity.

I stamped the images with Cajun Craze ink onto Shimmery White cardstock and then added some very soft washes of Coastal Cabana and Pumpkin Pie inks to provide a hint of water.

The base card is Pool Party with layers of Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze.

I added a little extra orange ink to these fish to cover the blue of the background cardstock.

For the next card I stamped onto Pool Party cardstock with Cajun Craze ink and then used a small brush with a little Pumpkin Pie ink to blend a bit more colour in areas of the fish that needed it.

I'm totally in love with the stamp set, not just because of the beautiful images, but also because it so easily creates a gorgeous card.
