Detailed Floral - Eggplant & Copper

I have entered this card into the International Blog Highlight held by Kylie Bertucci.  The theme this time is Random Acts of Kindness / Encouragement.  Click here to see all the amazing projects and vote for your favourites (from 6.30pm AEST).

For sheer elegance, it's hard to beat the Detailed Floral Thinlits (and matching suite of products!).

In search of a quick but elegant card, I decided to case one of my earlier cards and came up with this.  I'm quite fond of the combination of purple and copper.

The Copper Foil adds a beautiful rich sheen

To make the Very Vanilla mat for the banner, I placed the banner die on the cardstock and drew around the outside with a pencil.  I then cut along the pencil line, which I erased when I had finished.  I attached the banner with Dimensionals.

The little pink roses and Mint Macaron leaves, I created with the gorgeous Paisley Framelits dies - I've included a little tutorial at the end of this post.

The roses add a lot of dimension to the card
The Elegant Eggplant square card is 5.5" square.  The Copper Foil layer is 5" square and the decorative panel is 4 7/8".

    1. Thanks, Satomi. I actually saw a copper jug standing in front of an Elegant Eggplant wall (more or less!) a few months ago and was inspired.
