The daffodils in the this card evoke Spring

For me, daffodils are the flower of Spring and Spring has sprung here in Sydney! It's my favourite season!

This image is from the Four Seasons Floral stamp set that can be found in the Beginner's Catalogue and it's a set that I like very much for its versatility.  It has multipurpose and pretty images as well as great sentiments and the images can be left simple for the beginner or dressed up for the more experienced stamper.

This is a more dressed-up version with its layers and ribbons but still quite simple.

I stamped the image repeatedly with Bumblebee ink and then watercoloured in a bit more Bumblebee ink to colour the petals.  I used a Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker for the flower centres.

Using a Just Jade Stampin' Write Marker, I went over the stems and added a little detail to the leaves before watercolouring the leaves with a touch of Just Jade ink.

I masked off the bottom of the strip and sponged with Just Jade ink and then decided to add the ribbon and bow.

I hope the card you've seen here on my blog today has inspired you and brightened your day.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer.  Please see the list below and hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.  You don't want to miss any!

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!

Snowflake Wishes Christmas card - Casual and Stepped up to Avid stampers

#thecraftythinker #xmascard #snowflakewishes #stampinup #cardmaking , Snowflake Wishes, Simple Christmas Card, #simplestamping, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A simple stamping Christmas card with two inks, one piece of card and one stamp set

I thought I'd make my first use of the Snowflake Wishes stamp set to create a very simple stamped card (suitable for casual stampers) and then a stepped up version for the more avid card maker.

The stepped up version of the Snowflake Wishes Christmas Card with sequins and ribbons

I used the Misty Moonlight ink for the little background snowflakes but stamped it off first onto a piece of scrap paper.

The white base cards are made with the Thick Whisper White card and the stamped layer is the normal Whisper White card.

Birds & More Glittery Balmy Blue

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cadmaking #birds&more #simplecard , Birds & More, Simple Card, Die-cutting, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Balmy Blue and Black - A simple card that manages to look a bit over-the-top!
Featuring the Birds & More Dies

This is such a simple little card, dressed up with a lot of glitzy glamour courtesy of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper!

There's no stamping, it's just layers and a bit of die-cutting.

The base card is black followed by a layer of Balmy Blue.  I used one of the Birds & More Dies to cut the leafy circle from the centre of the final black layer and popped a piece of the Glimmer Paper behind the cut out.  The I added the bird.  I cut the bird twice, once in black and once in white, then transferred some white pieces to the black bird.  TIP:  Putting some Adhesive Sheet on the back of the cardstock before die-cutting makes it really quick and easy to stick the little pieces in place.

Then I cut some foliage from the Glimmer Paper and adhered it to the front of the card.  I would normally only adhere this type of decoration to the central, black, layer but this time I decided to continue over the entire card as I thought it would soften all those hard edges.

Dandelion Wishes for Bumblebee

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #dandelion wishes #simplecard #heatembossing #cardmaking , Dandelion Wishes, Heat Embossing, Simple card, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A simple white-heat-embossed card using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set

First of all - something went wrong with the colour in this photo (on my monitor at least) - the Bumblebee card and ribbon should not look so acidicly bright.

There's actually not much more to say about the card really - it's a very simply one!

The images and greeting are white heat embossed onto the black card stock and then combined with the card layers and ribbons.

This is the card I'm going to give my husband for Fathers' Day (in Australia we celebrate fathers in September rather than June).

Thank you for visiting.
