Pick A Fairy Pattern - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

As soon as I saw this new paper from the Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper (DSP) my thoughts turned to fairies!  So here is my fairy sitting amongst the mushrooms (or are they toadstools?)
Sneak Peek, Annual Catalogue, Fairy Celebration, Watercolour, #thecraftythinker, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
This lovely fairy is from the continuing stamp set "Fairy Celebration"

Having stamped her with Basic Black ink onto Whisper White paper (yes, just normal Whisper White) I watercoloured with the following inks:
Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and the new In-Colour Powder Pink.  Although it doesn't show in my photo, unfortunately, there is a layer of Wink of Stella on the fairy's wings so that they shimmer.
I left the background white to match with the DSP in the background.

The fairy panel is layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral and then adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting (from Fairy Celebration) and banner (from Number of Years) with Basic Black ink and cut it out with the matching die from the Large Numbers Framelits.  I used Sahara Sand ink to watercolour the banner ends to give shading to the folds.  Then I attached it to the card front with a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I think this greeting from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set will be my new "go to" birthday greeting!

The little fairy inside the card was stamped and watercoloured in the same way as before.  I added Wink of Stella to her wings and also to the areas around the "magic".  Unfortunately, the lovely shimmer isn't showing in my photo.

The greeting is from the new stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

Thank you for your visit.

Birthday Cake Delivery - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

I'm so captivated by the new Birthday Delivery suite of products - they're just so clever (in case I haven't said that before!).  It's so versatile that only our imaginations will limit our creativity using it although, on the other hand, it makes creating a simple but effective card a breeze!

There is a bundle available in this suite which offers a saving of 10%.  The bundle comprises the stamp set, Designer Series Paper and matching dies.  The dies coordinate with both the stamp set and the patterned paper!

I created the Silver Foil Sheet scallop with the use of a die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits set

This card is of the simple variety.  There's a base card of Soft Sky with a layer of Whisper White followed by a layer of the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I then cut a strip of Soft Sky cardstock and layered it with a Whisper White strip and a length of the new Mini Chevron ribbon in Old olive.  I used the scalloped edge die from the matching set and a leftover piece of Silver Foil Sheet to create the shiny scallop and glued that on top of the ribbon.

Lastly, I used one of the matching dies to cut a cake from the Birthday Memories DSP and stuck it onto the corner of the card with some Stampin Dimensional.

The gorgeous greeting is one of the 23 stamps in the Birthday Delivery stamp set

Inside the card I stamped the chef and the greeting from the Birthday Deliveries stamp set and did a little rough watercolouring

Card finished!

It's entirely possible that I have a peculiar and naughty mind but my suggestion would be to cut the Sahara Sand sheet of paper very carefully - paying particular attention to any partial images at the edge of the paper.  I ended up re-cutting the piece below!

I wasn't looking at this side of the paper when I cut this piece and ended up with an unfortunate partial image

Hint:
Take a little care when cutting this design in the pack in order to avoid any partial images that could be misinterpreted by some minds ... such as mine!

New Products used in this project:
Birthday Memories DSP
Birthday Delivery Stamp set
Birthday Friends Framelits die set
Mini Chevron Ribbon in Old Olive
Powder Pink ink pad

Sealed With Love Anniversary Card

I seem to be making a lot of anniversary cards at the moment!
Anniversary Card, Sealed With Love, #thecraftythinker, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
The little heart-topped note comes out of its tiny envelope.

The little heart-topped note comes out of its envelope and has a little message stamped on it - but I forgot to take a photo of that bit - so sorry!

The Sealed With Love bundle and Falling In Love Designer Series Paper are all retiring at the end of May so, if you'd like to purchase them - don't delay.  Stocks of retiring products are disappearing quickly.

I adhered my decorative card top to a base card of Very Vanilla which is the brand new THICK Very Vanilla cardstock and it's just perfect for use as a card base or for other projects requiring a firm board.

The two Pearl Anniversary cards (that's the 30th anniversary!) that I've also made are scheduled to appear here on my blog on 28th April and 7th May.

Thank you for visiting.

Beautiful You At The Beach

This card is entered into the Crazy Crafters Project Highlights this week.  Click here to see all the gorgeous cards and vote for your favourites.

I think I must dream about making cards because from time to time I wake up with the plan for a card.  Then the rush is on to get pen to paper before I forget it! (These days I almost have to lassoo thoughts as they pass through my cerebellum!).

This is a card I woke up thinking about.  It's for a dear friend who is making a sea change  to live by the beach in Victoria near her family.  Whilst I'll miss her sorely, it's a great move and I'm very happy for her.

Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper provides the beach background!
These stylish sisters are enjoying some time at the beach together.  They're both very sun-conscious with their hat and parasol.  They may be a little over-dressed but perhaps they've just come from a leisurely lunch!

The deck chair is from a new stamp set, called Colourful Seasons, that will be released in June in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

The "neighbourhood" greeting is from the new stamp set, In The City and the "Congratulations" is from another new stamp set called Fabulous Flamingo.

I stamped the deck chair first and added a bit of shading with an Early Espresso Watercolour Pencil.  I then stamped, coloured (with watercolour pencils), dressed and fussy cut the two ladies from Beautiful You.  For the one by the chair, I trimmed off a little dress to fit her behind the chair and added a suggestion of legs with a Calypso Coral Watercolour Pencil.  I used the Early Espresso pencil again to add the shadow under the feet of the lady with the parasol.  I didn't feel inclined to fussy cut the tiny areas such as between arm and hat, so I simply coloured them in with the Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencil.

This greeting from the new Eastern Beauty stamp set seemed very appropriate for the inside of  my card

Lovely Friends Gift Bag

On a recent trip to Tasmania, I bought my lovely friend some earrings at Salamanca Market.  They just screamed her name at me because they were in her colours and matched a ring that she often wears!

I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to make this packaging for the present.  I think she liked it almost as much as the earrings!

The little flowers and leaves in the Lovely Friends stamp set make for a great patterned paper

I used the new double stamping flower images and leaves from the new Lovely Friends stamp set that will be available in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue to turn a piece of Thick Very Vanilla cardstock (also in the new catalogue) into patterned cardstock.  The colours I chose to use match those in the earrings: Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango.

This Just Add Text image makes a great gift tag

I tied the bag with a length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon and added a gift tag stamped with the new Just Add Text stamp set (from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue).  I used my Stampin' Write markers in the same colours as the gift bag to colour the flowers and added a little flower made with the retiring Botanical Builder framelits (I'm REALLY going to miss those!).  The little flower covers up the words "to me" because I didn't want the message to sound weird!

Thank you for visiting.
