I was so inspired by the sketch for
yesterday's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop that I made another, feminine, version.

Magnolia Blooms stamp set and Country Floral 3D embossing folder |
This card features the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and Country Floral 3D embossing folder.
Having embossed the Basic Gray card, I gently swiped over it with my Versamark pad which created the deeper shade on the raised embossing. I then cut it diagonally (in keeping with the sketch) and arranged it onto a piece of Petal Pink card. The base card is Petal Pink with a layer of Gray Granite.
The banners are off-cuts of Gray Granite cardstock. The ends were trimmed with the help of the Banner Triple Punch.
Using Petal Pink ink, I stamped the image onto a small leftover square of Petal Pink cardstock. To make things a little easier for my ageing eyes, I used Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write markers to reinforce the lines on the leaves and the flower centre. Then I used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour the image (Rococo Rose, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss).

Ready for colouring - Magnolia Blooms stamped image
|
The greeting is included in the Magnolia Blooms stamp set but I rearranged it into a linear formation. To do this, I used a Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to ink only the word "Thank" and stamped it. Having cleaned and dried the stamp, I used the same marker to ink the word "you" and stamped it next to the first word. Easy!
Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
Stephanie
