Country Floral Silver and Black

To start this card, I embossed some Basic Black cardstock with the Country Floral Embossing Folder (until 31 March FREE with a $90 purchase!).

The photo does not do justice to the silvery shimmer in this card

I then gently swiped a Whisper White ink pad over the embossed piece and let it dry. The white ink takes a while to dry, so this is an ideal opportunity to work on another project, go shopping or do whatever tasks you have on your to do list!

Once the ink was dry, I used a sponge dauber to gently add some Frost White ink to the flowers and foliage with the deepest embossing. I did this a couple of times. Try as I might - I can't get the shimmer to show up in my photos!

Then I cut my piece in half to make two cards. Each piece has a silver frame and is adhered to a black base card.

The sentiments are from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. I punched them out with a 1" circle punch and then added a layer of black card cut with the smallest of the Layering Circles dies.

The foliage for the thank you card is cut from Silver Foil with dies from the Butterfly Beauty set and the foliage for the other card is punched with the Sprig and Leaf punches. Some of the foliage is sponged with Stazon Jet Black ink.

Frosted Floral Trio

I'm saying a fond farewell today to, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful sets of paper ever - Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue willl be retiring soon.

A trio of quick, easy cards featuring the gorgeous Frosted Floral papers

These three cards were super quick and easy to make! Each one features a different design from the pack.

Frosted Floral paper teamed with Powder Pink and Black Foil foliage

The base cards are Basic Black and then I coordinated the colour of the greeting label with the sheet of designer paper. For the card above, I picked out Powder Pink. The greetings are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The greeting is from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and I cut it out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits dies. A punch would have been quicker but, sadly, I don't yet own one the right size!

Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper coordinates with so many gorgeous Stampin' Up colours!

The foliage is all cut from Black Foil Sheet - which I'm so happy to see carrying over from the Holiday Catalogue so it will continue to be available. The label for the card above is cut from Mint Macaron cardstock.

Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper - more than a Christmas design!

For the foliage I used the Sprig Punch (which is also continuing after the Holiday Catalogue) and the Foliage Frame Framelits. I chose Balmy Blue cardstock to coordinate with this sheet of the paper.
