Eastern Medallions with Repeat Step Stamping

Another set of products that's retiring on 2nd June - The Eastern Beauty stamp set and coordinating Eastern Medallions thinlits dies.  I've also used one of the retiring In-Colours - Lemon Lime Twist.

Eastern Beauty stamp set & Eastern Medallions dies are both set to retire on 2 June 2019
It's easy to make a die cut label the correct length for your sentiment

I did a little "step stamping" with the ever-useful Stamparatus to make the background and then used the dies to create the focal piece.

I cut out the greeting with one of the Merry Christmas dies, shortening it using this method.  I then used Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut the coloured layers.

Pick A Pennant For You - Hinge Step

Having used the Pick A Pennant stamp set and Hinge Step Technique with the Stamparatus for this black and white card, I decided to try something similar with some colour.
#thecraftythinker #cardmaking #rubberstamping #pickapennant #darlinglabel #hingestep #stamparatus , Darling Label Punch Box, Pick A Pennant, Hinge Step Technique, Stamparatus, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Hinge Step Technique with the Stamparatus and Pick A Pennant stamp set
The base card is Coastal Cabana with layers of Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla under the decorated Gray Granite layer which is stamped with Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral inks.

It doesn't show in this photograph but I added a layer of Wink of Stella to the pennants before I added the spots and stripes.

The birthday greeting is one of the stamps included in the Darling Label Punch Box and I punched it out with the coordinating punch which is also included in the box.  The tin itself is so gorgeous that one could be forgiven for buying it just for pleasure of having the box!

There are so many rectangles on the card that I chose to adhere the Darling Label onto a circle of Coastal Cabana cut with one of the Layering Circles dies.  This is adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Pick A Pennant Black & White Hinge-Step

This card is included in the Crazy Crafters Team Highlights.  Click here to see all the entrants and vote for your favourites.

Pick A Pennant is a very versatile little stamp set.  It includes not only two different types of bunting but also patterns to enhance the little flags, bows, tassels, little floral and bird images but also a complete alpha-numeric set!  What's more, there are multiples of some letters, making it easier to build words or names.  The letters can be used in conjunction with the bunting or on their own.

There is also a coordinating die set (Playful Pennants Framelits) and both can be purchased together as a bundle for a 10% saving!

A simple black & white card created with the Pick A Pennant stamp set in a graphic style

I kept this card simple.

Using my fave new tool - the Stamparatus - and the Hinge Step technique, I stamped the pennants twice onto Basic Black cardstock with Versamark.  I then heat embossed with Whisper White embossing powder.

HINT:  Since photopolymer stamps are easy to manoeuvre, I curved the stamp slightly before I started inking.

I also white heat embossed the little greeting in the corner with a stamp from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.

I stamped another greeting from the Eastern Beauty set onto Whisper White cardstock  and cut the black and white layers with the Layering Circles Framelits.

Thank you for visiting.

Floral Phrases for On Stage Swaps

I was so excited to have attended the Sydney On Stage event at Luna Park yesterday - It's always exciting to get our first look at the amazing products coming up in the new Annual Catalogue!  This event was even more special given that it's the 30th year for Stampin' Up and there were quite a few surprises!

As usual, I told myself to keep my swap cards very simple ... and as usual I didn't listen to myself!  Thank goodness for my trusty (and awesome!) Stamparatus!

65 Swaps for On Stage Sydney!
There were 50 Crazy Crafters Team members at the event and I also wanted some to swap with others so I made 65 card fronts!  Keep scrolling down to see the amazing and generous swaps that I received in return!

The 65th of these card fronts that I made for swaps to take to On Stage in Sydney
Not only did the Stamparatus allow me to stamp the background using the Hinge-Step technique and to easily stamp the flower in the correct position on the semi-circle of Whisper White card but it also saved my sanity!

Production line - the Stamparatus makes things so much easier
When making quantities of the same card it's always best to work in batches but I very quickly become bored of repetitive tasks.  Since the Stamparatus has 4 surfaces for stamps, I could easily switch between stamping the background and the flower without having to clean or move anything.

Using the Stamparatus, I could easily switch between stamping the stripes or the flowers
Before starting the die cutting, I cut the cardstock into appropriately sized strips.  I found this helped me to save some wastage.  In fact, after cutting the swirls, I even found a use for the leftovers.

So we're coming up to the most exciting time of the year.  We'll be saying farewell to some things (in some cases very sadly) and preparing to welcome some great new things that will excite and expand our creativity - including the amazing Stamparatus!

I'll be providing some sneak peaks in the weeks to come.

Thank you for visiting.
