Artfully Aware: An Anniversary Card

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #anniversarycard #artfullyaware , Anniversary Card, Artfully Aware, Merry Christmas Dies, Scripty Embossing Folder, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Stampin' Up stamp set - so versatile: use them for more than their intended purpose!
February is a very loved up month - in addition to Valentines Day, we have our wedding anniversary!

I guess this image doesn't represent us - not anymore anyway!  Too much hair on the one figure and not enough grey hair on the other!  But it's the thought that counts!

I don't know how I could have got through the past year without the loving support of my husband and this card says it all, I think.

Thank you for visiting.

Eclectic Swirly Scribbles - Anniversary Card

My husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary in February (wow, the years are mounting!) and I've made this card for him.  Yes..... that's Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet on a masculine card!

I've always found it fascinating that we, as a society, subscribe gender to certain colours like pink.  Why is it considered feminine?  I don't really know but I do know that it's a comparatively recent thing.  So here I am saying that pink can be masculine and let's give it some gender equality! :)

Who says pink can't be masculine?

It's also true to say that I had that piece of Lovely Lipstick pre-cut on my desk and saw an opportunity to use it!  Better yet - while love is priceless, that gorgeous foil sheet is currently free (with a $90 product purchase) during Sale-A-Bration.

An Anniversary Card for my knight in shining armour made with the Magical Day Bundle

I've used the Magical Day Bundle to create this anniversary card for my husband who remains my knight in shining armour!  I coloured this particular little knight with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and cut him out with the coordinating die in the bundle.

The greeting on the Silver Foil banner is heat embossed (by tapping the stamp first into Versamark, then onto my Basic Black stamp pad).  I cut out the greeting with one of the dies in the bundle and adhered it to the oval.  I also stamped the top part of the greeting again with Real Red ink onto Whisper White card and fussy cut out the little banner before gluing it into position.

The greeting at the top is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I cut it out with a die from the Petals & More Thinlits.  I then used the same thinlit with Real Red cardstock, cut it in half and adhered to the ends of the greeting along with a strip of Real Red card that I cut 1/8th of an inch larger than the greeting.

I had to include some pearls since it's our Pearl Anniversary!

The base card is Smoky Slate with layers of Real Red cardstock and paper from the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper.

I hope you've enjoyed this card and I welcome your comments.

Thank you so much for joining us today.  We hope you'll join us again next month for our 3D projects!  I'm Stephanie Fischer and to keep hopping around, see the list below to see who is up next with another great project!

International Highlights - Change of Life Circumstances - Engagement Card

THEME: Change of Life Circumstances.
Things happen in life that can be pretty major. Let our friends and family know that we are thinking of them during changes in their life - such as an Engagement.

My card is #19 in the gallery

There are no Engagements on the horizon at the moment amongst my family or friends - but I'll be ready when it happens!
www.thecraftythinker.com.au, Congratulations card, Eclectic Layers, Hello Color, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, #thecraftythinker, #cardmaking, #stampinup
Designed as an Engagement card but suitable for any congratulatory card

For this card, I stamped the left side of the Whisper White layer with the lovely striped image from the Hello Color stamp set and coloured it with Stampin' Write Markers.  I then used Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks to stamp the rest of the layer with the textured image from the Touches of Texture stamp set.

For the flowers, I used the Eclectic Layers Thinlits with Powder Pink, Rose Red and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  I very lightly sponged Bermuda Bay ink over the Lemon Lime Twist to tone it down a little and also add some shading.

Using the Banners For You stamp set, I stamped the banner with Crumb Cake ink and the greeting with Rose Red ink.

Copper Bloomin' Heart Anniversary

This card is entered into the Crazy Crafters Project Highlights for this week.  Click here to see all the amazing cards and vote for your favourites.

I actually made two 30th Anniversary Cards - the other one was requested by a friend and I'll show it to you on 7th May!

I'm not normally much of a "heart" person but this is the perfect occasion to use them.

If you're wondering about those numbers... they're the only non-current or new
Stampin' Up product on the card - but just the perfect size for my needs!

The card base is made from Elegant Eggplant to which I added a layer of Copper Foil Sheet.  Since the middle of the sheet can't be seen and I love the copper foil too much to waste any, I always cut out the centre and just adhere a frame of the copper.

The Very Vanilla layer is embossed with the Happy Heart embossing folder (which is retiring).  To this I loosely adhered a piece of Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon.  To that I added a looped piece of the new Copper Trim ribbon which is held in place by the decorations.

I stamped the two banners and greetings onto Copper Foil Sheet with Basic Black ink and then waved a heat tool over it to ensure that it wouldn't smudge.  The top banner is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and it fits perfectly with the Classic Label punch.

I used the Bloomin' Heart die to cut some Very Vanilla cardstock and adhered it to a scrap of Tip Top Taupe (a retiring In-Colour) cardstock before cutting it with one of the Sweet & Sassy framelits.  I then cut a larger heart from Copper Foil Sheet with the same die set and layered them together, adding a couple of little copper flowers.

Since this is a Pearl Anniversary, naturally, I had to add as many pearls as I could without going too overboard!

The use of Stampin' Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive Strips gives... well - dimension!
