Christmas Gleaming - Bold Black and Red with Gold

Dramatic Christmas card with black Golden Glitz background and Christmas Gleaming Bundle

Who remembers those watercolour backgrounds that I made with Golden Glitz metallic ink?  Did you think I'd forgotten to use the black one?!!

To a layer of Poppy Parade I added  a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that I'd embossed with the Stylish Scroll embossing folder followed by the black layer.  I then added a piece of Black Satin Ribbon and adhered it all to the front of the Basic Black card base.

I gold heat embossed the baubles onto Poppy Parade card and punched them out with the coordinating punches.  I sponged the edges with Real Red ink before gluing them to the card.  I painted on lines with Golden Glitz ink so that they appeared to be hanging.

The holly was gold heat embossed and then coloured with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  I fussy cut the holly and then glued it to the card front.

Brightly Gleaming on Stylish Scroll - A Christmas card - Sneak Peek of 2019 Holiday Catalogue

Embossing Folder all in the 2019 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalogue

I'm totally obsessed by the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper that forms part of the Brightly Gleaming Suite of products in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  It's GORGEOUS!

The base card is Pretty Peacock to which I added a layer of Copper Foil Sheet embossed in the new Stylish Scroll embossing folder.  The copper picks up the beautiful copper foil patterns in the Brightly Gleaming papers and the Star Designer Elements.

The ornaments are punched from the Brightly Gleaming papers with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.  I also punched the shapes from Night of Navy cardstock and glued them behind the decorative shapes to add shadow and definition.

The greeting is stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies (which I resized using this method).  I then layered this onto another strip of Very Vanilla card.
