Merry Mouse - Traditional - Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek

Here's my furry little friend again ... but this time I painted him in more traditional Christmas colours.
Stampin Up, #thecraftythinker, Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek, Merry Mice, Christmas Card, Xmas card, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator,
The Christmas greeting is from the Hostess set "Time of Year"

The gingerbread house and gingerbread man are both cut out from the Candy Can Lane DSP - I simply added som Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The gingerbread man is sitting on a disc of Early Espresso cardstock.  To give it a glazed look, I used the fine-tip glue pen to add a layer of glue which dried quite quickly to leave a shiny appearance.

These are the Sneak Peek Products from the new Holiday Catalogue:
Merry Mice (142145)
Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (141981)
Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon (141984)
3/8" Silky Taffeta Ribbon Combo Pack (141989)

If you don't yet have a copy of the 2016 Holiday Catalogue and meet the following criteria, contact me to request a copy.  (Available to Australian Residents who are not Stampin' Up Demonstrators and do not currently have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator).

Always Floral Wedding Card

This was one of those occasions when I had an idea in my mind but something completely different happened!  I quite like the result but it doesn't have the drama that I was envisging in my head! Oh well - I'll get back to that idea at some stage!
Stampin Up, #thecraftythinker, Floral Phrases, Detailed Floral Thinlits, Time of Year, Combination banner,Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator
I used the Hostess Set "Time of Year" for the banner

The colours are Dapper Denim and Wisteria Wonder.  It doesn't show in the photo but, owing to the change in plans, the card also has a layer of Window Sheet which catches and reflects the light.

I stamped one of the banners from the Hostess set Time of Year using Dapper Denim ink and cut out the centre part which I adhered to a Wisteria Wonder banner cut with a die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits set.

This is a wedding card for a couple of young friends

I inked the floral pattern from the Floral Phrases set with Wisteria Wonder and then added some Dapper Denim to the rubber in places (with a marker) before stamping the image onto Whisper White card.  The greetings are stamped in Dapper Denim.

I added a thin strip of decorative paper from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.

I bought the Floral Phrases Stamp set and the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies as a bundle to save myself 10%!

Country Livin' Truck

I can't say I've ever seen a truck like this but I just love this image.  Unfortunately this particular vehicle seems to have been abandoned and the grass is growing long around it.  It's not too forlorn though - there are some wild flowers for company and, despite the clouds, it seems to be a nice day!

Stampin Up, #thecraftythinker, Country Livin', Masculine Card, watercolouring, Sponging, Card with truck, Stampin up Australia Demonstrator
The truck is watercoloured while the sky and foreground are sponged.

Country Livin' is such a great stamp set for anyone who, like me, enjoys colouring!
I masked the truck (with the windows cut out) before sponging the sky but I removed the mask before adding the grass, for which I used two of the images from In The Meadow, some sponging and some random strokes with markers.

The greeting is from the Hostess stamp set Time Of Year and is cut with the matching die from the Bunch of Banners framelits.

I think this makes a good "masculine card"!
