Thoughtful Branches Birthday

My team members and I had a crafting session the other day (well, OK, it also involved a lot of cake and tea!).  One of them cut a tree from Watermelon Wonder cardstock with the Thoughtful Branches dies and did it so neatly that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use that negative space.

Such a quick and easy card with the Thoughtful Branches dies

So I cut another tree from a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock, fit it into the space and layered it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, adding a birthday greeting and some Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon.

The card base is made from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with a layer of Flirty Flamingo patterned paper.

Exceptionally quick and easy!

If you like the Thoughtful Branches sets and don't yet have it - act quickly!  It's only available during August.

Thanks for visiting!

Cherry Tree Fairy

I made this birthday card for one of my nieces.  It uses another of the images from the Fairy Celebration stamp set.

The card is made from an A5 piece of Peekaboo Peach cardstock, layered with Soft Suede cardstock and a variety of paper from the In-Colour DSP stack.  I used a lot of dimensionals!

The greeting is from the Build a Birthday stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I made the banner ends with the Triple Banner Punch.

In-colour Enamel Shapes add the final touch

I stamped the image in Basic Black onto Shimmery White Cardstock and watercoloured it using Peekaboo Peach, Flirty flamingo, Rose Red, blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Delightful Dijon, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green inks.

It's a shame it doesn't show up in the photograph but there is a coat of Clear Wink of Stella on the wings so that they shimmer.

The photo doesn't do the glitter justice!
The cupcake is built using a really versatile stamp set called Sprinkles of Life. It can be rainclouds, ice creams, baskets of fruit ... and also has a lovely tree image.
Stampin' Up! make a donation to Ronald McDonald House with every sale of this stamp set. There is also a matching punch, which I haven't used yet.....

Build a Birthday, Boho Chic Embossing Folder
OK, I've got a couple more very quick cards for you!

This one uses the Build a Birthday stamp set - another really versatile set with lots of options.  I've added some twisted up Lace Trim and embossed the card with the Boho Chic embossing folder.  These are some of the new In-colours: Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron.

You've Got This stamp set

This last one uses the You've Got This stamp set, which has the gorgeous flower, the useful grungey background and some supportive sentiments.  This time, I chose to use the birthday sentiment from the Build a Birthday set.  I used the same In-colours while I had them open.  And I do love a bit of bling - so I added a rhinestone to the blossom embellishment again.

Stay tuned for some more sneak peeks over the next few weeks and remember to order your copy of the catalogue - you're going to LOVE it!
