Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop: Theme - Card / Project Kits: Tea Room Memories & More Cards

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer (The Crafty Thinker) from Australia.  Our theme this month is card or project kits.

I made these simple cards at the same time that I made the cards for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Danielle Kassing and so, to an extent, they are inspired by one of her cards.  To make these cards, you'll just need the Tea Room Memories & More Card Pack and the Tea Room Cardstock Pack as well as some adhesive.  You'll also need a craft knife and ruler or a trimmer in order to cut the cardstock.

The Tea Room Memories & More cards make beautiful greeting cards!
The base cards are made from A5 pieces of Thick Very Vanilla card, folded in half.  I added some layers of Coastal Cabana cardstock cut 1/8" larger than the pieces of Tea Room card and I added some Glitter Enamel Dots for a bit of bling.

To make a lovely card, just trim a few of the Tea Room Memories & More cards
& add some layers and embellishments
Since some of the cards are pre-printed with greetings, there's no need for any stamping so this is a great place to start a cardmaking journey - with very minimal product requirements.

And one pack of the cards will make LOTS of lovely greeting cards!

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you enjoyed these cards.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer - please see the list below and click on the next person on the list to hop through all of the people to see all of our projects.  You don't want to miss any!

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters' Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper, Danielle Kassing - we are thrilled to have Danielle join us this month and so excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by her.

Whether you are starting the blog hop here at my blog, Stephanie Fischer - The Crafty Thinker, or have come from the person before me, be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey through the blog hop.

The balanced layout and use of Designer Series Paper really appealed to me in the card of Danielle's that I decided to CASE and I changed very little.

A simple, masculine card using the Tea Room paper and card pack
My base card is made from Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and, for a masculine feel, I've used layers of  Mossy Meadow cardstock.    I also used two cards from the Tea Room Memories & More card pack and a small piece of Tea Room Designer Series Paper.

I cut the leaves with dies from the new Foliage Frame Framelits.  The greeting, stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Mossy Meadow ink, is from the Botanical Bliss stamp set.  I cut it out with one of the dies in the Bunch of Banners Framelits and trimmed off one end.

To make it look "anchored", I added a Faceted Dot.

I also made one more card that's even more simple, using the same Tea Room paper and card pack.  The greeting is also from the same stamp set.  I fussy cut one of the leaves from an off-cut of Tea Room card and adhered it under the corner of one of the layers.

Petal Passion Blossom

The Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack is great value - I'll be using it to make cards for a LONG time to come!  And they're so handy when you realise you've forgotten an event and need a card in a hurry!
#thecraftythinker, #cardmaking, #easycard, #stampinup, Petal Passion Memories & More, Black & White card, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
The combination of Black, White and Red is always dramatic
This is simply layers of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, Whisper White cardstock and Petal Passion Memories & More card.

The greeting is from Butterfly Basics and is stamped with Real Red ink.

The little flower is two layers of Real Red cardstock punched with the Blossom Builder punch, curled with a bone folder with a Faceted Gem centre.

I used a Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend alcohol marker to add a little definition to the Smoky Slate foliage that was punched out with the Leaf punch.

Thank you for visiting.

Petal Passion Happy Birthday

I have always loved colouring in!  It was something I would spend hours doing as a child and remains a firm favourite for me!

Petal Passion Memories & More cards make great card fronts!
I don't always have much time to spend on it now though so I'm loving the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack!  They make it so easy to squeeze in a little bit of colouring for a great effect!

For this particular card I used the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I used the Happy Birthday die on scraps of Rose Red and Pink Pirouette cardstock and layered them together for the shadow effect - easy to do with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet applied to the back of the cardstock before cutting!

The base card is Daffodil Delight and I added a layer of Basic Black cardstock behind the decorated card.

Thank you for visiting.

Merry Little Christmas Ornament - Sneak Peek

Another in my series of super quick and easy Christmas cards using the Memories & More Card Pack - Merry Little Christmas.
Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek, Memories & More Merry Little Christmas, Xmas, #thecraftythinker, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Packs are fantastic for quick, easy Xmas cards!

The base card is Cherry Cobbler.  To that I added one of the cards with an Old Olive pattern, trimmed to size and with lengths of Old Olive ribbon adhered top and bottom.

I placed the acetate sheet with the silver decoration on top of one of the smaller cards, using glue dots in the corners to keep them together.  I then lined up the stripes and adhered the piece to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I placed one of the stickers (Merry) under the bauble and silver stars cover up the glue dots in three of the corners.  I placed an Old Olive bow in the top corner from which dangles one of the gorgeous new Year of Cheer Embellishments.  I attached it with a length of Silver Metallic Thread but a glue dot would do the trick!

All finished in a matter of minutes with minimal supplies and equipment!

If you're an Australian Resident without a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and would like a copy of the new Holiday Catalogue, contact me with your details.

Thank you for visiting.

Merry Little Silent Christmas - Sneak Peek

This is another super-quick and easy card that I made with the Memories & More Merry Little Christmas card pack.
2017 Holiday Catalogue, Xmas, Merry Little Christmas card pack, Sneak Peek, #thecraftythinker, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Memories & More card packs are not just for memory keeping!

I layered the acetate sheet with the silver snowflakes onto a piece of Pacific Point cardstock, positioned the Silent Night card and stuck it down with silver washi tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape pack.

Then I simply adhered that to the front of the Basic Black card and added some Rhinestones.

Thank you for visiting.
