Petal Passion Focal

Oh I really did enjoy making this card!  The yellow / grey colour combination is one of my favourites.

The flower on this card is cut from a piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

The 6" square Basic Gray base card is layered with Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

The Smoky Slate layer was run through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling embossing folder.

I fussy cut the gorgeous flower from a piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and coloured it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  I placed an orange coloured Tutti Frutti Self Adhesive sequin in the centre of the flower and added a small Black Rhinestone.

The greeting is from the So Many Shells stamp set and I made the label with the Label Me Pretty Bundle (stamp set and punch), adding some Daffodil Delight ink to the edge of the label and a couple of Black Rhinestones.

I wrapped lengths of Crushed Curry and Whisper White ribbon around the card and coloured another piece of the Whisper White Ribbon with a Stampin' Blend marker (Daffodil Delight Light).  I cut that ribbon into three pieces, formed loops and stuck them into position with glue dots.

The final step was a scattering of yellow Tutti Frutti sequins.

Santa's Sleigh Highlight

I still have a pile of leftovers, having demolished the Christmas Table Favours after everyone had left!  This card uses another one of the Santa's Sleighs currently sitting on my table and I was quite happy with the way it turned out.

While not completely traditional, the colours are elegant and go well together

I needed the circle to be a little larger than the largest of the Layering Circles framelits, so I turned to the circular die in the Sliding Star Framelits set.  That left me with a circular frame and a smaller circle that I've saved for future projects.

The piece of Sahara Sand cardstock behind the sleigh is embossed with Softly Falling embossing folder.  The greeting is from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set.  I stamped it in Night of Navy ink on Sahara Sand cardstock and cut it out with an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.

The top blue layer is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals and the sleigh is just a little bit higher because it's popped up on Foam Adhesive Strip.

Metallic Merry Tag Trio

I couldn't resist another card with copper baubles!

The little snowflake is from the middle of one of the Christmas Stockings Thinlits

The card is an A5 piece of Basic Gray folded in half.  There's a layer of Silver Foil Sheet and then a final layer of Basic Gray that was embossed with the Pine Bough embossing folder.

I used the Layering Circles dies to cut one circle out of Copper and another from Silver Foil Sheets.  I ran these through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling embossing folder to get a dotty texture.  I cut a bauble rim in copper with one of the Merry Tags framelits and glued it to the front of the silver circle.  I already had the top half of a Merry Tag in silver left over from a previous card and glued that to the copper circle.

I cut the more elaborate Merry Tag from Silver Foil and used the circular die in the set to cut some copper which I glued to the centre of the bauble.

To obtain the pretty little snowflake for the centre of the bauble, I used a scrap of Silver Foil and cut it with a die from the Christmas Stockings Thinlits (one of the stockings has the snowflake in the centre of it).

I used Gold twine from the Bakers Twine Trio Pack to hang the baubles from a piece of Silver Foil cut with a Cheerful Tags framelit.

Father Christmas Spinner Card

So this is my first ever spinner card!  Better late than never, I guess!

Santa has his sack nice and close to him.

If you slide the sack across with a finger - it stays facing up.  Or, you can just tip the card and it spins around as it moves across the page - lucky everything stays in the sack!

The sack seems to be getting away from poor Santa!

I stamped the images from Father Christmas onto Shimmery White cardstock with Archival Basic Black ink and then coloured them with Stampin' Write Markers (I used Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Delightful Dijon, Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Garden Green, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso).  There's a touch of Gold Wink of Stella on the watch and trumpet and Clear Wink of Stella on the train.

I chose the Shimmery White cardstock because it's pretty and easy to stamp and colour but at the same time it's heavier weight than Whisper White cardstock

Once coloured, I then cut out the two images.

Stampin' Write Markers are easy to use and give lovely strong colours for a Christmas card

I made the Real Red card by folding an A5 piece of card in half.  I cut a layer of Shimmery White cardstock to size and then cut a slightly smaller Whisper White piece which I adhered to the card front so that the slider slot would appear white.

I cut the spinner slot using a die from the Sliding Star Framelits set and then embossed it with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  It's important to cut first and then emboss otherwise the embossing would be flattened when being run through the Big Shot again to die cut.

I placed Foam Adhesive Strips on the back of the embossed and die cut piece of card - taking care to leave enough space around the slot for a 5c coin to run freely.  I then adhered the piece to the card front (over the Whisper White piece) with a 5c coin under the slot.

I placed a dimensional in the centre of the 5c piece and stuck another 5c piece on top.  I then adhered the sack image to the 5c piece with another dimensional.

I attached the image of santa at one end of the slot using dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting from the Star of Light stamp set with Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card and cut it out with the banner from the Bunch of Banners set.  Using Real Red cardstock, I then cut the banner from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, folded it and attached the greeting before adhering it to the card front with dimensionals.
