Petal Passion Stripes

I love the bold contrast of colours in this card and the simplicity.

The Petal Passion Suite is so elegant and easy to use!
The base card is Real Red cardstock, followed by a layer of striped paper from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper pack.  Another layer of Real Red frames the pretty, leafy card from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.

The label in the centre is a sticker that's included in the Memories & More pack and I stamped a greeting from Butterfly Basics in Real Red ink.

Cards don't get much quicker or easier than this, I think, but it's still very effective!

Thank you for visiting.

Petal Passion Blossom

The Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack is great value - I'll be using it to make cards for a LONG time to come!  And they're so handy when you realise you've forgotten an event and need a card in a hurry!
#thecraftythinker, #cardmaking, #easycard, #stampinup, Petal Passion Memories & More, Black & White card, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
The combination of Black, White and Red is always dramatic
This is simply layers of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, Whisper White cardstock and Petal Passion Memories & More card.

The greeting is from Butterfly Basics and is stamped with Real Red ink.

The little flower is two layers of Real Red cardstock punched with the Blossom Builder punch, curled with a bone folder with a Faceted Gem centre.

I used a Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend alcohol marker to add a little definition to the Smoky Slate foliage that was punched out with the Leaf punch.

An Anniversary Card for my knight in shining armour made with the Magical Day Bundle

I've used the Magical Day Bundle to create this anniversary card for my husband who remains my knight in shining armour!  I coloured this particular little knight with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and cut him out with the coordinating die in the bundle.

The greeting on the Silver Foil banner is heat embossed (by tapping the stamp first into Versamark, then onto my Basic Black stamp pad).  I cut out the greeting with one of the dies in the bundle and adhered it to the oval.  I also stamped the top part of the greeting again with Real Red ink onto Whisper White card and fussy cut out the little banner before gluing it into position.

The greeting at the top is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I cut it out with a die from the Petals & More Thinlits.  I then used the same thinlit with Real Red cardstock, cut it in half and adhered to the ends of the greeting along with a strip of Real Red card that I cut 1/8th of an inch larger than the greeting.

I had to include some pearls since it's our Pearl Anniversary!

The base card is Smoky Slate with layers of Real Red cardstock and paper from the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper.

I hope you've enjoyed this card and I welcome your comments.

Thank you so much for joining us today.  We hope you'll join us again next month for our 3D projects!  I'm Stephanie Fischer and to keep hopping around, see the list below to see who is up next with another great project!

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop: Theme - Colouring

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer (The Crafty Thinker) from Australia.  Please remember to click on the next person in the line up at the end of my post to continue enjoying all the wonderful projects in the hop.

Our theme this month is Colouring and I have chosen to use a combination of Brusho Crystal Colour and Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Adding brusho to the Just Add Color DSP creates a really interesting background

It was an experiment that I wasn't sure was going to work but I'm quite happy with the outcome!

I cut a piece of the Just Add Color paper for my background and sprinkled on some yellow and blue Brusho powder.  I then spritzed it liberally with water, gave it a couple of swishes with a large damp brush and then left it to do its thing.

Dimensionals at the top of the feathers provides depth and interest to the card

While the background was drying, I used the Stampin' Blends to colour some feathers from another piece of the Just Add Color paper and then fussy cut them.

When applying the feathers to the card, I put some glue on the quill ends and added some mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the tops to provide some depth and interest.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you enjoyed this card.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer - please see the list below and click on the next person on the list to hop through all of the people to see all of our projects.  You don't want to miss any!

Sweet & Sassy Valentine

My son asked me to make a valentine card for him to give to his girlfriend - I hope she likes it because I really like her too!
#thecraftythinker, #valentinecard, #cardmaking, #stampinup, Valentine card, Sweet & Sassy dies, Falling Flowers, Painted with Love, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A fresh and modern valentine card with bold, bright colours
The base card is Rich Razzleberry to which I added a layer of the glorious Painted With Love Special Designer Series Paper.

The hearts are cut with the Sweet & Sassy framelits from Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo cardstock, Gold Foil Sheet and another piece of the Painted With Love paper.

The foliage is cut from Night of Navy scraps of cardstock using one of the Bouquet Bunch Framelit dies.

Cutting and layering the flower adds depth to the card
I stamped the flower from the Falling Flowers stamp set three times onto Melon Mambo cardstock with Basic Black ink and used a paintbrush and a little Rich Razzleberry ink to add some shading.

I then cut the centre parts from two of the flowers, adhering one part to the main flower to provide depth and the other one to the gold heart as a small flower in its own right.

There are some Faceted Gems in the centres of the flowers.

The greeting is from the Petal Palette stamp set.  It's stamped with Fresh Fig ink onto Whisper White cardstock which I cut with one of the Bunch of Banners framelits.

Your comments are always very welcome!

Petal Passion Happy Birthday

I have always loved colouring in!  It was something I would spend hours doing as a child and remains a firm favourite for me!
#thecraftythinker, #stampinup, #cardmaking, Petal Passion Memories & More Cards, Stampin' Blends, Happy Birthday, Stampin' Up! Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Petal Passion Memories & More cards make great card fronts!
I don't always have much time to spend on it now though so I'm loving the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack!  They make it so easy to squeeze in a little bit of colouring for a great effect!

For this particular card I used the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I used the Happy Birthday die on scraps of Rose Red and Pink Pirouette cardstock and layered them together for the shadow effect - easy to do with the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet applied to the back of the cardstock before cutting!

The base card is Daffodil Delight and I added a layer of Basic Black cardstock behind the decorated card.

Thank you for visiting.
