Lace Dynamic Promenade - Sneak Peek Occasions Catalogue

We had a massive storm here in Sydney yesterday that wiped out our power, which is my excuse for being late to post this blog!

Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Beautiful Promenade stamp set

The Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder will be available from 3rd January in the Occasions Catalogue and it's a beauty!

I used a watercolour pencil to gently colour the little embossed flowers and then smoothed the look with an aquapainter.  I also added a little pearl in the centre of each flower.

The larger flower is from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.  I gold heat embossed it on Rich Razzleberry cardstock (sorry the photo has come out a little dark).  Having cut it out with the coordinating die from the Beautiful Layers Framelits, I placed a Faceted Dot into the centre.

Classic Garage Suite - Occasions Catalogue Sneak Peek

To create the card above, I sponged Whisper White Craft ink onto a piece of the Class Garage paper (I know - it seems shocking to cover up such gorgeous paper doesn't it?!).

Once the white ink was thoroughly dry (it takes a bit of patience - or a heat tool!), I used my Embossing Buddy and then stamped the car image with Versamark before adding the Basic Black Embossing Powder and heat setting it.  I coloured it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I then used Basic Gray ink to stamp the smudges (which would make great exhause fumes) and black ink to stamp the tyre tracks from the One Wild Ride stamp set.

I stamped the greetings with Whisper White Craft ink and then added Whisper White Embossing Powder and heat set.

Having sponged a bit of black ink around the edges, I layered the piece onto some Whisper White cardstock and then adhered it to the Basic Black base card.

I added a little loop of the Striped Metallic Ribbon and popped a Classic Garage Metal Element on top.

Poinsettia on Frosted Florals

I used White Velvet Paper for this one (which is no longer available, I made this card way back in October!) so the poinsettia has a lovely soft texture but normal Whisper White cardstock will produce an excellent result!

A simple Christmas card with a Rooted in Nature poinsettia

This is in fact a very simple card!  Simply layer a couple of sheets of the stunning Frosted Florals Specialty Designer Series Paper, add a piece of Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon, a greeting and the poinsettia made with leaves from the Rooted in Nature Bundle.

TIP:  I stick the leaves to a punched circle of cardstock (any scrap will do - it doesn't show!).

Hearts Come Home Double Z Fold Christmas Card

I love leftovers - on the craft table as well as in the fridge!  They make things so much quicker and easier!

This is a card of leftovers!  The strangely coloured sky (perhaps it's the Northern Lights) was spare strip of watercolour paper that I used months ago to mop up some leftover ink and water after a watercolour background session.

Double Z Fold card creates a Christmas scene with Hometown Greetings, In The Woods and Detailed Deer dies

The die cut row of houses was leftover from a previous card where I just wanted to use some of the little bits from the roofs and doors. 

The Sahara Sand trees were cut for another card and eventually discarded.

A previously rejected watercolour background makes for an interesting sky

To give the pine tree some illusion of depth, I cut both of the pine trees in the die set and layered them on top of each other.  I curled out the little pieces in the top layer, placing small pieces of Stampin' Dimensional behind them to keep them popped out.

The greeting is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink onto the Granite Gray cardstock and punched out with the coordinating punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Tin.

The Glimmer paper star is cut with one of the Starlight Thinlits.

The closed Double Z Fold card measures 4.25" square

When closed, the card is 4.25" square.
