I have entered this card into the CTC019 challenge.
I made this card for a very special occasion - the very well-deserved title advancement of my gorgeous team member, Satomi, to Silver! I'm so excited for her! So the card HAD to feature plenty of silver!

The heart is from the Love Notes Framelits dies and is attached with a Stampin' Dimensional |
To make the medallion, I cut a spare piece of cardstock with one of the Layering Ovals dies (any old cardstock will do!) and gave it several layers of silver embossing (I think it may have been 4 or 5). Then, while the final layer was still soft and warm, I inked up my stamp with Stazon ink and impressed it into the embossing. It's not really necessary to use ink for this technique, but I wanted to make sure the words were legible.

There's lots of movement and dimension in this card |
From the side, it's possible to see that I left the top part of the Star Blast die cut loose to create some dimension and for even more dimension, the medallion is attached with foam.

This combination of sentiments said exactly what I wanted to express |
I combined sentiments from a few stamp sets to create the greeting on the inside of the card: The "Congratulations" is from the free Sale-A-Bration set Any Occasion, "Wahoo" is from Birthday Blast (available with the Star Blast Edelit as a bundle to save 10%) and "So Happy For You" is from the Beautiful You stamp set.
Thank you for your visit.
'Til next time!

DeleteThis is a wonderful card for Satomi, I'm sure she'll love it! I haven't heard of this technique before with leaving the stamp impression in the heat emboss, what a great idea! Thank you for entering your creation into Case This Card this week! xx
