Merry Little Christmas Ornament - Sneak Peek

Another in my series of super quick and easy Christmas cards using the Memories & More Card Pack - Merry Little Christmas.
Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek, Memories & More Merry Little Christmas, Xmas, #thecraftythinker, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Packs are fantastic for quick, easy Xmas cards!

The base card is Cherry Cobbler.  To that I added one of the cards with an Old Olive pattern, trimmed to size and with lengths of Old Olive ribbon adhered top and bottom.

I placed the acetate sheet with the silver decoration on top of one of the smaller cards, using glue dots in the corners to keep them together.  I then lined up the stripes and adhered the piece to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I placed one of the stickers (Merry) under the bauble and silver stars cover up the glue dots in three of the corners.  I placed an Old Olive bow in the top corner from which dangles one of the gorgeous new Year of Cheer Embellishments.  I attached it with a length of Silver Metallic Thread but a glue dot would do the trick!

All finished in a matter of minutes with minimal supplies and equipment!

Ready for Christmas Birthday Card - Sneak Peek 2017 Holiday Catalogue

Despite its name, I was pretty sure that this wonderful stamp set (and coordinating dies) would be very versatile and useful for so much more than Christmas cards!

This card is for a friend who has two dachshunds and, I confess, that was my main prompt for purchasing the set!
Holiday Catalogue 2017, Sneak Peek, Ready for Christmas, Half Full, #thecraftythinker, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW

What did I use?
2017 Holiday Catalogue (sneak Peek)

The Ready for Christmas stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue (dogs, table, cookies and gifts)
The wine glass is from the Half Full stamp set
Annual Catalogue
The balloons are made with the Birthday Delivery bundle
The banner and words are stamped with the Banners For You set
The banner is cut with the Bunch of Banners coordinating die
I used a Layering Circle die to cut out the main scene
The decorative paper is from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack
The basic 5 3/4" square card is made with Night of Navy cardstock

How did I do it?
  • On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the table with Crumb Cake ink and the complete dog with Basic Black ink.
  • I then used the reflection technique to produce the second dog (used Basic Black ink to stamp the dog onto my Stamp-a-ma-Jig sheet, turned it ink side down onto the cardstock and pressed the ink onto the card).
  • I watercoloured this little scene using Peekaboo Peach, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Night of Navy inks and the teeniest bit of Cherry Cobbler for one of the dog collars.
  • I used the out of the box technique to cut out the scene with the circle die, leaving the lower part of the dog's body  outside the circle.
  • On a scrap piece of Whisper White card I stamped the wine glass with Smoky Slate ink and the plate of biscuits with Basic Black ink, watercoloured them, fussy cut and glued them to the table top.
  • The presents were also stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White with Basic Black ink and coloured before fussy cutting them and gluing them to the card front.
  • For the balloons, I used some Night of Navy ink to apply a light watercolour wash to a scrap piece of Whisper White card.  When it was dry, I stamped the balloons with Night of Navy ink and then cut them with the coordinating die before adhering them to the card front and hand drawing the strings and bows with a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker.

Naturally the inside of the card had to be decorated to match!  The presents are stamped and coloured directly onto the card but the balloon was made separately and glued in.

Painted Harvest on Cherry Cobbler

This card is entered into the Crazy Crafters Team Highlights this week - click here to see all the great entries and vote for your favourites.

The sentiment for this card is from the Count My Blessings stamp set and the flowers are from the Painted Harvest stamp set - both new and available from 1 September to 2 January in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

Sneak peek at products in the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue
The base card is Peekaboo Peach with a layer of Cherry Cobbler.

The flowers that are fussy cut were stamped with Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst with Fresh Fig centres.  I also sponged over the petals with some Crushed Curry.

The label is a piece of watercolour paper  with a failed watercolour background.  I sponged over it with Crushed Curry and then stamped the flowers with Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.  I cut the shape with one of the Lots of Labels dies and sponged the edges with some Berry Burst ink.

The sentiment is stamped with Fresh Fig ink.  The leaves were cut with one of the dies from the Flourish Thinlits from Tranquil Tide cardstock, adhered to some Wild Wasabi card and cut out.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Favourite In-Colour

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop, running monthly. You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer from Australia. I hope you enjoy my card showcasing my favourite In-Colour which is Berry Burst.  The truth is that even though this is my favourite, I like all the 2017-2019 In Colours - even Lemon Lime Twist which didn't immediately appeal to me!
2017 Holiday Catalogue, Count My Blessings, Sneak Peek, #thecraftythinker, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
Count My Blessings stamp set will be available from 1 September 2017 to 2nd January 2018
in the new Holiday Catalogue

I find that these In-colours actually work well with each other, so there are guest appearances here from Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig (Powder Pink missed out this time!).

I white heat embossed the Berry Burst base card with the foliage from the Count My Blessings stamp set in the new Holiday Catalogue (current from 1 September to 2 January)

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the Lots of Labels dies and stamped the floral image from the Count My Blessings stamp set with Basic Black ink.  The image is watercoloured using all the In-Colours except Powder Pink.

I coloured a length of Whisper White Classic Weave ribbon with Lemon Lime Twist ink and added it to the label before I adhered it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek - Merry Little Christmas card stack

I really enjoy card making: learning new techniques, perfecting older ones and taking as much time as necessary to do it.  Somehow I find myself loaded up with the patience that I don't seem to be able to summon in other aspects of my life!

BUT ... occasionally time is not on my side and I just need to make some cards quickly and easily.  Enter the Memories & More Card Pack called Merry Little Christmas!  I haven't yet developed a taste for memory keeping but this card pack is also great for card-makers.

These four cards basically assembled themselves in a matter of minutes!  They're simple, require minimal equipment but are still imbued with the Christmas spirit!

Memories & More card packs are great for making quick & easy cards

The large sentiment is from the new Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue (available from 1 September) and the small one is from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set in the Annual Catalogue (available now).

I trimmed the decorative cards to size, stamped a greeting with Cherry Cobbler ink, layered them onto a piece of cardstock and adhered them to the card fronts.

Thank you for visiting.

Cheery Swirly Snowflake - Sneak Peek

This elegant Christmas card was soooo quick and easy to make!  Most of the products belong to the new Year of Cheer Suite in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue and will be available from 1 September 2017 to 2 January 2018.
Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits, #thecraftythinker, Year of Cheer Suite, 2017 Holiday Catalogue, Sneak Peek, Xmas card, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Sydney NSW
It's hard to go past the elegance of the Year of Cheer suite - suitable for many occasions

To the black card base I adhered the snowflake trim.  This is cut from the new Champagne coloured Foil Sheet using the new Swirly Snowflakes thinlits.

To the other side of the card front, I adhered a piece of the gorgeous new Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and added a piece of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape over the join.

I silver heat embossed the greeting from the Cheers To The Year stamp set onto a small square of Basic Black card and added the little swirls cut with the Swirly Snowflakes thinlits.

To add the final bits of bling, I used Clear and Gold Faceted Gems.
