Brightly Gleaming #Elfie

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #christmascard #elfie #christmasgleaming , Christmas card, #Elfie, Christmas Gleaming, Brightly Gleaming, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
An elegant Christmas card ... with just a touch of cuteness!
I made this card at the same time and using the same basic methodology as this card but changed it up just a little.

I stamped the #Elfie image with Stazon ink and then watercoloured it with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler ink.  I used Mango Melody for the hair.  I also painted the buttons and bells with Mango Melody ink and then added a little Golden Glitz metallic ink although the photograph doesn't really pick up the shimmer.  I used Petal Pink ink to paint the skin and a touch of Smoky Slate for shadow on the trim of the hat.

The greeting is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.

Brightly Gleaming Jolly Christmas Card

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #christmascard #cardmaking #christmasgleaming , Christmas card, Christmas Gleaming bundle, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
This Christmas card is a CASE of a card that can be found in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue
The Stampin' Up! catalogues are a wonderful source of inspiration.  This card is a CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) of one of the cards on page 30 of the Holiday Catalogue.

I have, however, reversed the layering process on the card.

Using the Stitched Rectangles dies makes it simple to create the double frame on this Christmas card
To the centre of the Old Olive base card, I adhered a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that I had copper heat embossed with the greetig.  TIP:  Just like Stampin' Up, I omitted the ampersand at the beginning of the greeting by temporarily covering it with a piece of washi tape when inking with the Versamark.

I cut a rectangle of Copper Foil and removed the centre with the second largest Stitched Rectangle die.  I then used the largest Stitched Rectangle die to remove the centre of the top layer of Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper.

One of the baubles is clear heat embossed on Old Olive cardstock and the other is copper heat embossed on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  Both are sponged around the edges (getting lighter towards the centre) with Old Olive ink.  They are cut out with the coordinating Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.

The Holly is copper heat embossed onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then watercoloured with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive inks before fussy cutting.

Golden Glitz Dashing Deer

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #cardmaking #christmascard #dashingdeer , Dashing Deer, Detailed Deer, Golden Glitz watercolour background, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A Dashing Deer Christmas card with a Golden Glitz watercolour background
In a previous post I shared how I made some Golden Glitz watercolour backgrounds.  This card uses another piece of the background.

I stamped the deer onto Blackberry Bliss card with Golden Glitz metallic ink (using my Stamparatus so that I could overstamp for better coverage) and cut it out with the coordinating Detailed Deer die.

I gold heat embossed the greeting and cut it out with one of the Merry Christmas dies, deciding to sponge the edges with gold ink to soften the look.

As always, I cut out the centre of the Gold Foil layer for use in another project.

Brightly Gleaming Dashing Deer

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #christmascard #cardmaking #dashingdeer , Dashing Deer, Detailed Deer, Brightly Gleaming, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A simple Christmas card featuring Dashing Deer stamp set,
coordinating Detailed Deer die and Brightly Gleaming paper
This is one of my favourite simple Christmas cards and is really quick and easy to replicate for mass-production.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the Dashing Deer onto Pretty Peacock cardstock with Celestial Copper metallic ink.  This allowed me to overstamp to ensure a good coverage of ink.  Once the ink was dry, I then cut out the deer with the coordinating Detailed Deer die.

A quick, mass-production, alternative would be to cut out as many of the deer as required and then use this method with the Stamparatus to stamp the die cuts.

To obtain the stitched frame, I cut a rectangle of Copper Foil sheet a little larger than a Stitched Rectangle die, then centred the die and cut.  This left the frame for use on this card and a rectangle for use on another project.

I also removed the centre of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper for use in another project.

I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to fit inside the stitched detail and then adhered the deer.

Christmas Gleaming

#thecraftythinker #stampinup #christmascard #brightlygleaming #stamparatus #cardmaking , Christmas Gleaming bundle, Stamparatus, Christmas card, Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
An easy Christmas card to mass produce using the Brightly Gleaming Suite
This card is is quick to make and super-easy to mass-produce with the help of the Stamparatus.
I keep a template of each punch in the case with my Christmas Gleaming stamps so that they're always ready to use.

Punch as many multiples of the bauble as you want from cardstock.
Pop the the template onto the Stamparatus, line up the stamp (I find the easiest way is to place the  stamp into the punched space and then close the door onto it).
I usually do one test stamp to check the alignment.
Then one at a time, place the punched baubles into the template and stamp them.

Using a template and Stamparatus to quickly stamp multiple die cuts
I stamped these ones with Celestial Copper metallic ink and found I needed to reink and stamp a couple of times to get the coverage I wanted.

I attached the resulting baubles to a label cut with one of the Wild Rose dies, layered onto a Stitched Rectangle.
