Animal Outing - 2nd Birthday card

This is a simple little card that I made for a cute little girl who lives in another hemisphere!  I thought she'd like an Aussie card!  The cute little animals are coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

An Australian themed birthday  card for a 2 year old girl using the Animal Outing stamp set
Since I never seem to part with anything, I was able to use a die from one the retired sets (Large Numbers) to cut the number.

TIP:  To preserve cardstock, I used the middle of the label (that I knew was going to be covered up) to cut one of the words.

Combining the Noble Peacock paper and foil with Sailing Home Bundle for a masculine card
For something a little different and glamourous (yes, masculine cards can still have glamour!), I've also used the glorious Noble Peacock papers, Noble Peacock Rhinestones and some of the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets.

The greeting is from the First Frost stamp set and I used the Banner Triple Punch to cut the banner tag.

Thank you so much for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next month when we'll be sharing a technique

I'm Stephanie Fischer and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next with another great project.

Sailing Home Suite: A Masculine Card

This masculine card was really quick and easy to make using the Sailing Home Bundle.
#thecraftythinker #stampinup #sailinghomebundle #masculinecard #cardmaking , Come Sail Away, Sailing Home, Smooth Sailing, Masculine Card, Stampin' Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
A quick and easy masculine card using the Sailing Home Bundle
The base card is Night of Navy to which I added a layer of white followed by a piece of the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper which forms part of the Come Sail Away Suite.

I then cut some small pieces of the paper from leftovers and layered them onto white card before arranging on the card front.

For the rope on the anchor, I pulled out three threads from a length of Burlap Ribbon and plaited them.

I added a white circle, cut with one of the Stitched Shapes die, to the banner and label to add some balance.

I really love the detail in those Smooth Sailing Dies - just take a close look at the banner and the piece of rope!

Free As A Bird in Yellow & Blue

These little birds are just so darn cute!  I Googled "little birds" to find some images to help me colour them and fell for the cheerful colours in these little guys.

I stamped onto Whisper White card with Stazon black ink and then watercoloured with Blueberry Bushel and Crushed Curry ink.  There's also some Soft Suede, Garden Green and Petal Pink for the tree and a light wash of Balmy Blue for a hint of sky.

I used the coordinating Stitched Nested Labels die (part of the Free As A Bird Bundle) to cut out the piece and then layered it onto the Crushed Curry base card with Blueberry Bushel layer that was cut with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

Just for a little more interest, I added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Thank you for visiting.

Magnolia Blooms on Country Floral

I was so inspired by the sketch for yesterday's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop that I made another, feminine, version.

This card features the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and Country Floral 3D embossing folder.

Having embossed the Basic Gray card, I gently swiped over it with my Versamark pad which created the deeper shade on the raised embossing.  I then cut it diagonally (in keeping with the sketch) and arranged it onto a piece of Petal Pink card.  The base card is Petal Pink with a layer of Gray Granite.

The banners are off-cuts of Gray Granite cardstock.  The ends were trimmed with the help of the Banner Triple Punch.

Using Petal Pink ink, I stamped the image onto a small leftover square of Petal Pink cardstock.  To make things a little easier for my ageing eyes, I used Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write markers to reinforce the lines on the leaves and the flower centre.  Then I used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour the image (Rococo Rose, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss).

Ready for colouring - Magnolia Blooms stamped image
The greeting is included in the Magnolia Blooms stamp set but I rearranged it into a linear formation.  To do this, I used a Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to ink only the word "Thank" and stamped it.  Having cleaned and dried the stamp, I used the same marker to ink the word "you" and stamped it next to the first word.  Easy!

Thank you for visiting.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Masculine Card Sketch - Sailing Home Bundle

The sketch  for the SDBH Blog Hop
Our theme this month is to create a masculine project using the sketch provided (why don't you have a go too?).  I liked it so much that I made a feminine version that I'll share will you tomorrow.

A masculine card featuring a yacht and vegetation from the Sailing Home Bundle
My base card is Mossy Meadow with a layer of Whisper White followed by my card front, made from Come Sale Away Designer Series Paper cut diagonally and attached to Old Olive card stock.  I realised after I'd finished the card and taken the photo that the Old Olive wasn't the best choice, as it doesn't show up very well against the designer paper - but it was too late by then!

To the card front, I added swirls of both of the ribbons included in the Magnolia Lane Ribbon pack and sea foliage cut from both Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card using the Smooth Sailing Dies that form part of the Sailing Home Bundle (remember, buying the bundle gives a saving of 10%).

I cut the largest label from Mossy Meadow card using one of the dies in the Wild Rose die set.  To that I added the smaller label cut from Come Sail Away paper with one of the Smooth Sailing Dies.

I stamped the yacht with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers before cutting it out with the coordinating die from the Smooth Sailing dies.

Last, but certainly not least for this bling-lover, I added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you enjoyed this card.  You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer - please see the list below and click on the next person on the list to hop through all of the people to see all of our projects.  You don't want to miss any!

'Til next time!
