Pick A Raccoon Pattern - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

I thought I'd have a go at recreating the little black and white animal in the new Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper.  I'm not entirely sure what it is - is it a raccoon?

Anyway, I created my little creature sitting on a log using the Foxy Friends stamp set and matching Fox Builder Punch which are continuing into the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

He's layered onto a medallion of Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles.  The tree is fussy cut and I used the banner from the Cupcake Cutouts framelits for the greeting, which is from the Pretty Kitty stamp set.

A Fox Builder raccoon?

The use of Stampin' Dimensionals gives our little friend some depth.

Thank you for visiting.

Copper Bloomin' Heart Anniversary

This card is entered into the Crazy Crafters Project Highlights for this week.  Click here to see all the amazing cards and vote for your favourites.

I actually made two 30th Anniversary Cards - the other one was requested by a friend and I'll show it to you on 7th May!

I'm not normally much of a "heart" person but this is the perfect occasion to use them.
Copper, Anniversary Card, Bloomin' Heart, Sweet & Sassy, #thecraftythinker, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
If you're wondering about those numbers... they're the only non-current or new
Stampin' Up product on the card - but just the perfect size for my needs!

The card base is made from Elegant Eggplant to which I added a layer of Copper Foil Sheet.  Since the middle of the sheet can't be seen and I love the copper foil too much to waste any, I always cut out the centre and just adhere a frame of the copper.

The Very Vanilla layer is embossed with the Happy Heart embossing folder (which is retiring).  To this I loosely adhered a piece of Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon.  To that I added a looped piece of the new Copper Trim ribbon which is held in place by the decorations.

I stamped the two banners and greetings onto Copper Foil Sheet with Basic Black ink and then waved a heat tool over it to ensure that it wouldn't smudge.  The top banner is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and it fits perfectly with the Classic Label punch.

I used the Bloomin' Heart die to cut some Very Vanilla cardstock and adhered it to a scrap of Tip Top Taupe (a retiring In-Colour) cardstock before cutting it with one of the Sweet & Sassy framelits.  I then cut a larger heart from Copper Foil Sheet with the same die set and layered them together, adding a couple of little copper flowers.

Since this is a Pearl Anniversary, naturally, I had to add as many pearls as I could without going too overboard!

The use of Stampin' Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive Strips gives... well - dimension!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek: Eastern PalaceTrifold

Image may contain: text
Welcome to the Crazy Crafters' Blog Hop featuring beautiful new products from the brand new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue that launches on 1st June.

Whether you are starting the blog hop here at my blog, Stephanie Fischer - The Crafty Thinker, or have come from the person before me, be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

My head was in a spin deciding which product to use - for me, this is the best ever catalogue and there's so much that I already love!

In the end I chose the Eastern Palace Suite because I've had it the longest and hadn't got around to using it simply because I was so distracted when more new products arrived!

The two patterns with gold foil are simply spectacular!  I included both on the back part of the card.

The Speciality Designer Series Paper in this suite is so exquisite that I really wanted to make it the star of the show!  This modified Trifold card was perfect for the occasion!

Can you spot the new In-Colour Lemon Lime Twist?

The pack includes the same pattern in two colourways: Dapper Denim and Tranquil Tide (a new In-Colour) and the other is gold.

I used an A4 sheet of Dapper Denim to make this modified trifold card

I cut some Whisper White cardstock and Gold Foil Sheet with the Lots of Labels dies to create a simple background to showcase some of the decorative features of the bundle.  There are several dies in the Eastern Medallions Thinlits set that work together to create a large variety of effects.  They can also be dressed up further with the compatible Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers and/or the Mini Tassel Assortment.

I used some of the new Glitter Enamel Dots in Berry Burst to compliment the Tassel

I haven't even got around to using the amazingly versatile matching Eastern Beauty stamp set with its 21 beautiful stamps!  The possibilities are endless.

I left one plain piece of Whisper White cardstock as a space for writing the message in the card.

New products used in this project:
Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper
Eastern Medallion Thinlits dies
Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers

Mini Tassel Assortment
Glitter Enamel Dots
In-Colour cardstock: Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist

Purchasing the Eastern Beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallion Thinlits dies as a bundle offers a saving of 10%.

I hope you've enjoyed this card and I welcome your comments.

Pick A Fairy Pattern - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

As soon as I saw this new paper from the Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper (DSP) my thoughts turned to fairies!  So here is my fairy sitting amongst the mushrooms (or are they toadstools?)
Sneak Peek, Annual Catalogue, Fairy Celebration, Watercolour, #thecraftythinker, Stampin Up Australia Demonstrator, Stephanie Fischer, Sydney NSW
This lovely fairy is from the continuing stamp set "Fairy Celebration"

Having stamped her with Basic Black ink onto Whisper White paper (yes, just normal Whisper White) I watercoloured with the following inks:
Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and the new In-Colour Powder Pink.  Although it doesn't show in my photo, unfortunately, there is a layer of Wink of Stella on the fairy's wings so that they shimmer.
I left the background white to match with the DSP in the background.

The fairy panel is layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral and then adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting (from Fairy Celebration) and banner (from Number of Years) with Basic Black ink and cut it out with the matching die from the Large Numbers Framelits.  I used Sahara Sand ink to watercolour the banner ends to give shading to the folds.  Then I attached it to the card front with a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I think this greeting from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set will be my new "go to" birthday greeting!

The little fairy inside the card was stamped and watercoloured in the same way as before.  I added Wink of Stella to her wings and also to the areas around the "magic".  Unfortunately, the lovely shimmer isn't showing in my photo.

The greeting is from the new stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

Thank you for your visit.
