Punch Art Peppa Pig Birthday Card

This card is for my little Great Niece who is besotted with Peppa Pig!  Personally, I find Peppa Pig very unappealing but then, it's been a long time since I was three years old!

The blue background is embossed and then I used a sponge dauber and Whisper White Craft Ink to highlight those stars.

Peppa Pig herself is made with a couple of the Layering Ovals Framelits and a Layering Circle Framelit.

Her hands were punched out with the Fox Builder Punch.  The eyes were punched with the Cookie Builder Punch.

Her ears are made with a small die in the Bouquet Bunch Framelits set.  Her shoes are actually little bits cut from the bow in that same die set.

For her tail, I confess, I rummaged in my collection of retired punches and used the Confetti Punch because .. well it's perfect for a pigs tail!

Arms and legs are just little strips of cardstock.

Once assembled, I used a Stampin' Blend to outline her and add the shadow underneath her.

I hope this pig will pass the inspection of our little Peppa Pig afficionado!

I really admire Lisa's creativity and style, so it was a great pleasure to spend time looking through her work and a real headache to choose just one to CASE!  In fact, this is my second choice.  After I'd created the first card, I realised that it bore a marked resemblance to a card I made last year - so I'll share it another time!

A simple Christmas featuring a Detailed Deer and the Woodland Embossing Folder

This card came together so quickly and easily that I made three!  Two in black (for the other black one, I used the black sequin trim instead of the black cord) and one in copper.  But I suspect I'll be making more to add to my Christmas card stash!

The copper version of the Woodland Deer Christmas card - any colour combination would work!

For the base card (5.75" square) I used Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock (measuring 4" square) with the Woodland embossing folder and added a small border of copper foil sheet to it.  TIP:  I cut out the centre of the copper layer to use another time.

Having wrapped the length of Copper Trim around the embossed piece twice and fastened it at the back with a piece of sticky tape, I adhered the layer to the base card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The deer from the Detailed Deer die set was cut three times, once in copper or black foil and twice in a thick piece of white cardstock I found in my craftroom.  I had placed Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock before cutting out the deer.  This made it easy to layer the die cuts on top of one another to form a laminated, thicker and stronger deer which I then adhered to the card.

Dashing Deer in Winter Woods - a Christmas card

This deer seems to be weaving in and out of some saplings!  The wintry scene was so simple to make that I made another one!

I stamped a row of trunks from the Winter Woods stamp set onto Smoky Slate cardstock with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint (I roll the Shimmer Paint onto the stamp with a sponge roller).  I used my heat tool to set/dry the paint and  then I used a paint brush and some Whisper White Craft ink to highlight the trees, smudging with my finger from time to time to blend a bit.

I used a craft knife to cut down each side of some of the trees, just in the middle of the piece.  I found the easiest way to weave the deer through the trees was bottom first!  Once he was in position, I simply attached him with a couple of glue dots.

With my snips, I cut a random curvy top a piece of spare white cardstock, put a line of glue on the back of the curvy top and slid it under the deer's feet before securing it into position.  I added a subtle shadow under the deer's feet with a small brush and a little Smoky Slate ink.

Having stamped the greeting, I trimmed the piece to size and attached it to the front of the Basic Black card.

In The Still of The Night

This card is a CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) of the card that I made for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Alison Solven.  Since we all CASEd one of her cards for that Blog Hop, this card must also be a CASE of her card!  If you'd like to see Alison's original card, you'll find a link to it here.

I love the owl from the Still Night Bundle!  Combined with the neutral colours, it makes for a great masculine card.

The owl from the Still Night Bundle is stamped with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint (apply some to a sponge brayer and roll it onto the stamp).  The Still Night Bundle will be available from 5 September 2018 to 2 January 2019 in the Holiday Catalogue.

The Basic Gray strip is embossed with the gorgeous Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder.  The greeting is copper heat embossed.

I cut the branch from Smoky Slate cardstock and didn't want to waste the leftovers, so I used the negative space in this card.
