Best Catch in Garden Lane

For this masculine card, I CASED (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of my previous designs because I liked it so much and it was so very quick and easy to do!

A masculine card featuring the Best Catch stamp set, Perennial Essence and Garden Lane papers

The base card is Mint Macaron layered with a piece of the Perennial Essence paper that reminded me a bit of pond weed.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels to cut tags from Mint Macaron cardstock and a leftover piece of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper.

The fish from the Best Catch stamp set is stamped with Stazon black ink and then watercoloured using Mint Macaron and So Saffron inks.  The greeting is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

All Geared Up Red & Grey

It's my gorgeous son's birthday.  I can't give him a red sportscar but I can adorn his card with one!

A masculine card created with the Geared Up stamp set and coordinating Garage Gears dies

I made the background by stamping Whisper White Craft ink onto Basic Gray cardstock with various images from the Artisan Textures stamp set.  TIP:  Be prepared to give it a long time to dry!

I layered my background onto some Real Red cardstock and then placed it onto the Basic Black base card.

I cut two sets of cogs with the Garage Gears dies, one in Basic Gray and one in Silver Foil Sheet, then adhered them to the card front - slightly offsetting them.

The car from the coordinating stamp set Geared Up is watercoloured with Real Red ink.  I painted the chrome bits with Smokey Slate and then added some of the Frost White Shimmer Paint so that, in the right light, it looks metallic.

The greeting is from the Best Catch stamp set, stamped with Stazon black ink.

Then I added some of the Classic Garage Metal Elements.

Free As A Bird on Come Sail Away

This card is a big thank you to a very special, supportive and generous lady.

A multipurpose card made with the Free As A Bird stamp set and Come Sail Away paper

The base card is Balmy Blue with layers of Basic Gray and Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the bird from Free As A Bird on Whisper White cardstock with Stazon ink and then watercoloured with Smokey Slate, Balmy Blue and Pacific Point inks before cutting it out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels.  I cut a larger label from a piece of the Come Sail Away paper and layered them before chopping off one end.

The greeting is stamped with Pacific Point ink.

Good Morning Magnolia with Craft Ink

I'm totally in love with the new Good Morning Magnolia Bundle (although I've only used the stamp set here).

Soft Suede cardstock, gold heat embossing and white craft ink make the Good Morning Magnolia image pop

For this card, I started out by stamping the image onto Soft Suede cardstock with Versamark, sprinkling with gold embossing powder and heating.

I then painted the flower with Whisper White Craft Ink and left it to dry.  I would recommend painting with the craft ink one day and finishing the project the next day.

I then used Flirty Flamingo ink and an almost dry brush to add colour to the petals.

I painted the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink and then added touches of Soft Suede ink with an almost dry brush.

I also painted the stem with Soft Suede ink as well as adding some to the very centre of the flower.

I used the Out Of the Box Technique and the largest Stitched Nested Label die to cut out the flower before using Early Espresso ink to stamp the greeting.

The base card is Soft Suede and there's a layer of Blushing Bride embossed with the Basket Weave 3D embossing folder.

For a touch more bling, I added some Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Magnolia Memory in 3D

My love affair with the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle continues!  This time I only used the Magnolia Memory dies which form part of the bundle.

A simple but very dramatic card made with the Magnolia Memory dies

The base card is one of the new In-Colours - Pretty Peacock.  Then there's a layer of Very Vanilla followed by Copper Foil Sheet and Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.

I then cut one layer each of the three petal sizes from Very Vanilla cardstock and the leaves and centres are cut from Copper Foil Sheet.

I used my bone folder to curve the petals before the gluing the layers together and adding the centre and then (with the flower on a foam mat) pressed down in the centre to curve the flower up a little.

Having glued the flower into position, I added the leaves  and a gold faceted gem to the flower centre.

Magnolia Lane Memories & More greeting card - watercoloured

Similar to Friday's card, this card was incredibly easy to make using the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack.

I simply watercoloured the card using Petal Pink, Garden Green and So Saffron inks and attached it to the front of the Mint Macaron base card.

I stamped the greeting (which is from the coordinating Good Morning Magnolia stamp set) into the centre with Early Espresso ink and then added some self-adhesive embellishments that are included in the card pack and a few of the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Couldn't be easier!
