Brusho Petal Passion

The background combines Brusho Crystal Colour and sponging

This card started out with a yellow and blue brusho background on Thick Whisper White card that I was not very happy with - It looked quite washed out but had lots of speckles.  So I adapted it.

First, I roughly planned the design and then stamped the bird from the Petal Palette stamp set with Basic Black ink.

Avoiding the bird, I then sponged with Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky inks and sponged the edges of the piece with Night Of Navy and Garden Green inks.

Using Garden Green ink, I stamped the foliage from the Petal Palette stamp set - trying to line it up to catch the bird's feet.  I then added some shading with more ink and an aquapainter.  I used touches of Tempting Turquoise and Smoky Slate inks to colour the bird.

Switching to the dies in the Petal Palette Bundle, I cut foliage from Wild Wasabi card and blossoms from Pink Pirouette.  Putting Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheet on the back of the cardstsock before cutting made it very simple to adhere the pieces to the card.

I also cut more blossoms from Rose Red cardstock to place the darker centres into the flowers.

Petal Passion Focal

Oh I really did enjoy making this card!  The yellow / grey colour combination is one of my favourites.

The flower on this card is cut from a piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

The 6" square Basic Gray base card is layered with Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

The Smoky Slate layer was run through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling embossing folder.

I fussy cut the gorgeous flower from a piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and coloured it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  I placed an orange coloured Tutti Frutti Self Adhesive sequin in the centre of the flower and added a small Black Rhinestone.

The greeting is from the So Many Shells stamp set and I made the label with the Label Me Pretty Bundle (stamp set and punch), adding some Daffodil Delight ink to the edge of the label and a couple of Black Rhinestones.

I wrapped lengths of Crushed Curry and Whisper White ribbon around the card and coloured another piece of the Whisper White Ribbon with a Stampin' Blend marker (Daffodil Delight Light).  I cut that ribbon into three pieces, formed loops and stuck them into position with glue dots.

The final step was a scattering of yellow Tutti Frutti sequins.

Brusho and Feathers

This card is made with the same Brusho background as this one.

I really like the colour combination of Night of Navy with Lemon Lime Twist

The feathers tucked into the greeting panel are coloured with Stampin' Write Markers and the greeting (from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set) is white heat embossed onto Night of Navy cardstock.  To make that label, I first cut the cardstock with one of the Lots of Labels dies and then, lining it up carefully, moved the die to shorten the piece and ran it back through the Big Shot.

The finishing touches were the piece of Corduroy Ribbon and the Tutti Frutti Self Adhesive Sequins.

In a previous post I shared a background that I made with Brusho Crystal Colour and a baby wipe on watercolour paper.

I made the background for this card at the same time, using the same method but on Glossy White Cardstock.

The background is made with Brusho Crystal Colour swished onto Glossy card with a baby wipe

The base card is Dapper Denim with a layer of Marina Mist cardstock.

I fussy cut elements from a piece of the gorgeous Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper and layered some of them onto a decorative circle cut from Dapper Denim cardstock with one of the Eastern Medallions dies and a Layering Circle Framelit.

I also added a little silver flourish cut with one of the Swirly Snowflake dies.
